The color payoff is exactly as it appears, which surprised me at first, but it's really pretty! Since the shade doesn't quite match me, I use it for costume makeup or mix it with other colors. To be honest, it feels more like a collector's item... The color application isn't as clean as I'd like. When applying to the lips, there's some clumping, and it tends to pill up as you layer it. This might vary from person to person, but that was my experience. It severely accentuates fine lines, and I usually only wear matte lipsticks, but I've never had one settle into lines this much before. - w5****Combination SkinAcne SkinJan 13, 2017
I've wanted this for months and finally got it as a Christmas gift. I'm not sure who would actually wear this, but I bought it knowing I couldn't pull it off because the color is so pretty. It's matte, but not drying - more like a moisturizing matte finish. The color is so vibrant that wearing it might make you an unintentional center of attention. I think this shade would suit someone like Nada. Perfect for when you're playing high-fashion model by yourself at home! This is a color that only someone with the thickest skin imaginable could wear confidently in public. The issue isn't just the color - if you apply this without lip balm, it looks fine at first, but after a few hours it smudges beyond your lip line and settles into lip creases. Not to mention, when you eat, the blue color transfers, which is really awkward. Unlike the Designer Blue from the same Banging Brilliant line, which creates a purple when mixed with red lipstick, this one makes your lips look somewhat bruised when blended. I tried mixing it with Lady Danger, and it ended up looking like the lips of someone who's smoked too many cigarettes. You need to apply it as a full lip color, filling in completely, to make it look somewhat less awkward.
