The hydration is top-notch. My home is incredibly dry, and most creams just don't cut it for nighttime use. But this cream? It's perfect for applying before bed. The absorption is terrible. It's so thick that at first, you have to stretch your skin just to apply it. It felt like I was giving myself wrinkles! And it's so rich that if there's any moisture on your face, it just slides right off. I don't have dry skin, so during the day it's too greasy and shiny, which actually ended up causing blemishes. Before using, warm a small amount on the back of your hand to soften it up - this makes application easier. I'd recommend using a spatula too. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedMar 26, 2020
My two-and-a-half-year-old got super dry this winter, scratching their legs until they bled and got wounded. I had something I bought when I was in the US, so I applied it, and it really made their skin so hydrated! I'm planning to use this every spring, fall, and winter from now on. The way it absorbs is truly the worst... However, when I mix it with Aveeno cream and melt it a bit on my skin before applying, it goes on somewhat better. But the incredible hydration it provides completely makes up for this drawback - it's the best! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 8, 2019
The hydration lasts for a long time. I recommend it as an affordable, gentle moisturizer with great value for money. It's a bit disappointing that it can leave a slightly greasy feeling. The way it absorbs could be better. - es*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 18, 2019
Great for dry skin. It's extremely rich and if you imagine a Vaseline-like texture, you'll easily understand. I've used it for years and gone through several jars, though I haven't kept count. Around last year, when the lid changed to red, the texture became slightly easier to apply, but only marginally. If you're thinking 'I have super dry skin', I believe you'll be satisfied using this all over your body. Admittedly, it can be challenging to apply. It's even harder to spread when your skin is damp. You need to apply it with the mindset of melting it with your body heat. At first, before it's absorbed, it feels a bit like it's leaving a white cast. But after rubbing it in a few times or patting it to absorb, it quickly becomes smooth and glossy. Given that the application isn't great compared to its effectiveness, you might find it easier to use if you mix it with oil or apply it over oiled skin. I've purchased and used several jars through international shipping. After hearing that Pihyunjung recommends against using Vaseline-based products daily, I'm considering trying other products now. A major advantage of this product is its price relative to the quantity. I highly recommend it for face and body use for those with very dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 4, 2018
My face usually feels tight right after washing, but when I apply this product generously before bed, my skin feels plump and moisturized the next morning It's quite thick, making it difficult to apply with fingers, and leaves a noticeable oily residue that lasts until the next day - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJun 6, 2018
When it comes to hydration, nothing beats this product. In winter, my palms get especially dry, with fine lines between my finger joints turning white and cracking. Regular hand creams didn't help, but after applying this and sleeping, I wake up with moisturized hands. I don't usually have skin blemishes, so when it gets too dry in winter, I apply this to my face after toner and emulsion. When I use it before bed, I wake up with such hydrated skin that my makeup goes on beautifully the next day. The absorption could be better. It's so thick that even after application, it feels heavy. I can only use it before bed; it's not suitable for casual use. While it absorbs relatively quickly on hands, leaving a moisturized feeling after a short while, on the face or body it remains thick for a long time. It's moisturizing, but it's hard to tell if it's overly hydrating or just too thick - it leans towards the latter. It's best used at night. Scoop a good amount with your fingers and spread it evenly on your palms, then gently pat it onto your face or body. After that, pat a few times and you'll notice it feeling thick. Give it a couple more pats and quickly go to sleep. You'll feel the effects the next morning. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 3, 2018
I can't survive winter without this cream. Those who need a rich, thick texture will definitely love this. The amount you get is beastly! The thick consistency, while a plus, might be a bit heavy for daytime use. The cream won't absorb if there's even a hint of moisture on your skin. Mix a small amount with a matte foundation for a hydrated skin look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 22, 2017
I'd heard a lot of good things about Eucerin, so I was curious to try it. After giving it a go, I did feel like it wrapped my skin in a protective layer. The formula was quite thick, making it difficult to absorb into the skin. The sticky feeling also lingered for a while. Despite its rich and sticky texture, it didn't seem to provide long-lasting hydration. It might be better suited for dry areas like elbows or knees rather than the face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 25, 2017
Let me cut to the chase - this cream saved my skin last winter. While my face was fine, my body became insanely dry and itchy to the point where I was scratching until I bled. Despite focusing on moisturizing even more than usual, nothing seemed to help. I ended up getting allergy medication from a dermatologist, which helped my skin but made me drowsy. Even layering body oil, cream, and mist didn't work. My sister even bought me 100% shea butter, but it didn't make much difference. After trying this cream, things finally started to improve. I applied body oil after showering, followed by the Original Healing Cream. When I felt dryness coming on, I'd mist my entire body, let it absorb, then reapply the cream. After a few weeks of this routine, my skin got better. I've been using it since winter and now alternate with body emulsions as the weather warms up. I'm almost out and will be repurchasing soon. Without this Healing Cream, I might have spent all winter scratching myself silly everywhere I went! The application is definitely the downside. It's even harder to apply when there's moisture on the skin - instead of spreading, it just clumps up. I have to scoop some out, rub it between my palms to warm it up, then pat it onto my body. Once it softens a bit from body heat, I can massage it in thoroughly. It's also frustrating how clothes stick to you after applying. Compared to the 100% shea butter my sister got me (which was a nightmare to apply - I almost lost my patience!), the Healing Cream's application is much more manageable. For application tips, refer to the 'cons' section. If you're still finding it too dry, consider changing your body wash. Sometimes cleansers with high cleansing power can cause body dryness. Even if it feels a bit slippery, using a product with less cleansing power and more moisturizing ingredients can help reduce dryness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 18, 2017
It absorbs into the skin instantly, like it's coating your face. And it gives you a nice glow! It feels like your skin is coated and hydrated. The amount is generous, perfect for beast mode skincare! The texture is quite thick, making it a bit difficult to apply. Apart from the thick consistency when applying, it's not bad.
