ConsEven when applying a small amount, if it touches the skin around the blemishes, dead skin cells start to form in that area after a few days.

But since I started using tea tree oil, dabbing it on with a cotton swab, my blemishes don't worsen or become inflamed. Instead, they naturally fade away. I'm so relieved to have found tea tree oil for my troubled skin. I apply it daily and have already finished one bottle and bought another!
ConsI'm not sure if this is part of the healing process for blemishes, but it seems to cause some dead skin cells to form and makes my skin feel a bit dry. So after applying the tea tree oil, I wait a while and then put some petroleum jelly on the areas where the skin is flaking. It's a bit of a hassle!

First off, it's absolutely amazing at calming down breakouts! It feels like it's controlling the oil on my skin, which seems to help keep the blemishes at bay.
ConsIf you use too much, it can cause a lot of dead skin cells to build up on your face. Also, after 2-3 months, I noticed the effectiveness started to decrease. The excessive dead skin cell production is definitely a downside. And the smell... it's a bit off-putting.
TipHere's a tip: When rinsing your face, fill the sink with water and add a drop of the oil for your final rinse. It's great for soothing blemishes! But be warned! Never apply it all over your face! If you do, you'll end up with an excess of dead skin cells.

ConsFor me, it didn't have a remarkable soothing effect, and if I apply too much, the area tends to peel off like dead skin cells the next day.

ConsIf you use too much, it seems like it causes flaking. It's better to just use it in the evenings!

Haha
ConsIt's quite drying and irritating. Lol I feel like my skin is flaking off.
TipI think applying it with a cotton swab only on the acne areas every other day would work well. Haha

The headline.
ConsI used to drop one drop when cleansing, but it would try to provoke exfoliation, so I no longer use it for cleansing.
TipIf you drop one drop on your pillow before sleeping, it will help you sleep. Aroma effect.
