Since it contains sodium lauryl sulfate, I don't use it daily but mainly in the evenings when I want to care for dead skin cells and sebum. It lathers well, and the cleansing effectiveness isn't bad due to the anionic surfactant. The pH is 8.5, and the cleansing powder with sulfur was refreshing. With consistent use, it helped manage my sebum. Sulfur can be effective for blemishes and oily skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties that may help with pustular acne or red acne marks, and can improve skin texture. It's a cleansing powder that allows for pore care without irritation. Since I don't use it daily, it lasts longer than expected. Protease accelerates skin turnover by releasing dead cells and exfoliates by breaking down dead skin cells. SLS is a powerful surfactant, making it very effective at removing oil and dirt. Due to its strong cleansing properties, SLS is commonly used in shampoos, body washes, toothpaste, and industrial cleaners. However, its strength can also irritate sensitive skin, potentially causing dryness or irritation. The price is quite steep, making me hesitant to purchase unless it's on sale, and occasionally the holes in the container get clogged. Why sulfur is good for blemishes: Exfoliation: Sulfur helps dissolve and remove dead skin cells, preventing the buildup of dead skin and sebum that can cause blemishes. Antibacterial action: Sulfur inhibits the growth of acne-causing bacteria, preventing blemishes from worsening. Sebum control: Sulfur helps regulate excessive sebum production, reducing one of the main causes of blemishes. Be careful not to use it with other chemical exfoliants as it may damage your skin barrier. TIP 1: Enzymes work best in warm water (40-50°C). Avoid cold or too hot water! TIP 2: While you can lather with your hands, using a foam maker, mask bowl, or pack brush can provide a much better cleanse. TIP 3: Using a warm face towel or steamer to warm your face can enhance the effects. After waiting sufficiently, gently massage areas with more dead skin cells, then rinse with warm water (important!). - le**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2023
This is my holy grail cleanser. While other products often cause breakouts, this one suits me perfectly and I'm extremely satisfied. After cleansing, my skin feels soft and fresh. The price is quite steep... Dr.Lab products are generally expensive across the board, unfortunately. Be careful not to get water around the opening of the bottle. - tu********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 17, 2021
User skin type: Super sensitive combination (mostly oily) acne-prone skin Cleansing effectiveness: Seems capable of removing light sunscreen! Even with just a small amount of water, it creates a decent lather (don't expect excessive foam) Texture: Fine powder form Recommended skin types: Dry skin, acne-prone skin Purchase price: $35,000 KRW Quantity: I've been using it generously from the last week of February 2021 until now (August), only for evening cleansing daily! Other notes: There's a temporary brightening effect right after cleansing. While there are no skin-related issues, the small opening of the product container tends to get clogged frequently as water or moisture mixes with the powder when you open the lid to use it. - qw******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 2, 2020
Despite being a powder cleanser, it lathers up nicely. It seems to be more effective at controlling excess oil. Difficult to control the amount. When trying to shake just a little into your palm after opening the container, it tends to pour out suddenly. Leaves a slightly tight feeling on the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 27, 2020
It's a great product that eliminates the need for a separate scrub. Perfect for using without worry on makeup-free evenings. There's not really anything to complain about, but I wish it came in a larger size. - sh***************Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 29, 2020
I was worried about trying a powder cleanser for the first time, but it lathered quickly and was gentle on my skin Being a powder type, there was a bit of excess dust when using it, and it took me about two days to figure out the right amount to use - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 15, 2018
If you have oily skin, this powder wash becomes a staple in your routine. I use Dr. Lab Azulene Mousse Cleanser daily, but when I have excess dead skin cells or sebum, I use this for deep cleansing once or twice a week. It's great as a final step in double cleansing, leaving your skin feeling thoroughly cleansed. Being a powder, you need to be careful with the amount at first (you'll get used to it with practice). Be cautious not to let the product opening get wet or damp. When dispensing into your hand, it can clump if your hands are too cold or lack moisture. For best results, wash your hands thoroughly, wet them sufficiently, and start creating a fine lather in your palms. Begin cleansing from areas with more sebum - nose, chin, forehead, then cheeks - while gently massaging. This method effectively removes dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 2, 2017
Although it's in powder form, it dissolves easily when mixed with wet hands. It lathers well, and when left on the face briefly before rinsing, it cleanses thoroughly, leaving skin feeling refreshed. There's nothing to complain about, and I plan to repurchase. While the container may look small, using it twice a week makes it last quite a long time. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 11, 2017
It worked wonders on my blemishes without causing any irritation. I'm really impressed! Since it's in powder form, I'm concerned that if you don't lather it up well, it might be a bit harsh on the skin. - th********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 3, 2016
I'm extremely satisfied with this as a second cleanser. While other products might leave my skin feeling squeaky clean, this one makes it feel soft and smooth after rinsing. The granules dissolve well in water, so if your bathroom is humid, it's best to store it in your room. For those with sensitive skin, it's recommended to lather it up well until the granules are completely dissolved. I use it daily without any irritation - the ingredients are safe and I haven't experienced any blemishes. The container's opening tends to get dirty, probably because moisture keeps getting in. It seems unavoidable with a powder-type product...
