The strength of this product is its powerful moisturizing ability, but unfortunately, the absorption is lacking. It may seem like it would absorb quickly and smoothly into the skin, but even after applying and rolling it in, it doesn't seem to penetrate well into the skin. At night, when I apply it and wake up in the morning, it's still sitting on the surface of my skin, making it feel slippery during water cleansing.
That's the only downside to this product!
However, I've found a good way to use it:
First, after cleansing, apply your skincare routine while your skin is still a bit damp. Then, as the final step, generously apply a moisturizer and really work it into the skin. Before that moisturized feeling goes away, apply this Activating Cream like a coating, making sure to spread it evenly.
In the morning, after water cleansing, the Activating Cream on the surface will be wiped away, but the moisturized feeling from the previous night's routine will remain.
It's also very useful when doing makeup.
Especially in the harsh winter winds, it helps prevent your makeup from drying out and disappearing. 
No matter how much time I spend on my skincare base and foundation, the winter winds can still strip away the moisture, leaving my skin feeling dry and flaky like a winter tree when I look in the mirror later.
So, in the winter or whenever my skin feels particularly dry, I make sure to apply this cream thinly before starting my makeup. That way, the moisture in my skin is locked in, and my makeup lasts much longer.
Especially when using Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation, I always make sure to apply this cream as the final step in my skincare routine. 
Just be sure to really pat and press the foundation into the skin for maximum adherence.
Anyway, this cream doesn't absorb very well, so I tend to buy 1-2 of them every year from late fall to summer, using it as a moisture-locking cream.
Give it a try - it's a bit pricey, but as I've described, it's really worth it!

I went to Lalabl to buy a light moisturizing cream for the summer and bought one that was recommended to me.
