Absorbs: 5 stars Absorbs well: 3 stars Hydration: 2 stars Please note that these ratings reflect my personal preferences. The product has an excellent, firm texture and spreads thinly, which contributes to its superior absorption. While the hydration might not meet expectations, I'm satisfied with adding this extra step before my cream during the dry season. There was no feeling of the product sitting on top of the skin, and overall I was satisfied. However, considering the price, I would describe it as adequate. When using this product, I stopped using the brown bottle. It seemed to overlap and even interfere with the application. I tried to minimize the number of steps in my routine as much as possible. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2023
It absorbs quickly without sitting on the surface. It seems to help with deep dryness to some extent. Even when used in the morning, it doesn't cause makeup to pill. It gets used up quite quickly, which is a shame. It's expensive and runs out fast. Apart from the price, there don't seem to be any drawbacks. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 23, 2022
I'm using this as part of a skincare line my sibling gifted me. I love that it dispenses just the right amount with each pump. It applies smoothly and absorbs well into the skin. The only slight drawback is Sisley's unique, somewhat peculiar scent that can be a bit off-putting. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 3, 2019
First off, it has a subtle herbal scent. Being a hydrating essence, it absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling moisturized. There's no greasy residue - it's more of a liquid texture without any oily layer. While I can't speak to everything, I appreciated how lightweight it felt on the skin. Considering the price, it seems quite expensive and not particularly cost-effective. I didn't notice any significant changes, to be honest. After using it, I did see some improvement in my blemishes, but I'm not sure if it's due to this product or just hormonal changes. I can't say for certain if it helps with small bumps or similar skin issues. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 9, 2018
It's truly exceptional when it comes to hydration. I love the pleasant scent and how quickly it absorbs without leaving any sticky residue. While there's nothing particularly disappointing, the packaging isn't the most practical. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 10, 2018
I initially used only the emulsion and cream, but I added this hydrating essence when the season changed. The texture is quite thick. I usually apply it after Sisley's emulsion and before the cream. It spreads well and feels moisturizing - it's like water appearing on your skin when you apply it. After absorption, it gives a deeply hydrated feeling. A few months ago, I had dermatitis and thought it was due to the weather, so I increased the amount. The absorption was still good. (Of course, I went to the doctor for ointment to treat the dermatitis.) In summer, I sometimes finish with just the essence. Even for my combination dehydrated, sensitive skin, it provides a noticeable hydration boost. While Sisley doesn't have dramatic effects, it's decent and fits its reputation as a natural cosmetics brand (?), which justifies its high price. However, every time I look at the ingredient list on Hwahae, it makes me wonder, 'Is it right to keep using this?' It's reliable and doesn't cause blemishes, so I'm on my fourth bottle, but lately I've been considering trying something new. For those with combination dehydrated skin in summer, when your T-zone gets oily and cream feels too heavy, applying the essence twice works well! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 25, 2016
It has good moisture, is moisturizing, absorbs well, and is good for dry skin. In the past, I would just apply this and that would be the end of my skincare routine, but now that I'm older, my cheeks have become extremely dry, so I have to apply cream in the winter. But for most people, this alone should be satisfactory. Ingredients, ingredients, ingredients. Why were you guys born this way! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 19, 2015
It had great spreadability and absorption. The longevity was also decent. The price was evil...ㅠ It's not at the duty-free shop, so I can't even consider it...ㅠ - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 17, 2015
It absorbs well and feels really moisturizing and dewy. I think it would suit those with dry skin well. I really like it. It's probably the price. Sisley seems to have outrageous prices. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 12, 2014
The signature mint or herbal scent of Sisley is quite strong. I enjoyed it. The moisture balance was just right, and the absorption was good, though there was nothing particularly remarkable about it. I used it gratefully as a gift, but due to the high price compared to its functionality, I would find it difficult to purchase it with my own money. I didn't really see any significant skin improvement effects, so I just used it without much impression.
