If you want to boost scalp volume while keeping your hair soft, absolutely avoid cream-type treatments. Instead, use a liquid treatment, applying it from the middle to the ends of your hair, avoiding the scalp. Leave it on for 3-5 minutes before rinsing out.

It's disappointing that only small sizes are available on iHerb, and the official importer no longer brings in either small or large sizes. It's a shame it's hard to find due to lack of word-of-mouth. I hope it becomes popular among all oily scalp hair loss sufferers and gets imported again.

For oily scalps prone to hair loss, the key is removing excess oil without clogging pores. Other anti-hair loss shampoos often leave my scalp feeling sticky again as soon as I start drying my hair. If the cleansing power is too strong, it can make hair stiff, so they add moisturizing ingredients. While this makes hair shiny, it doesn't cleanse the scalp thoroughly enough, leading to lack of volume and quick odor buildup.

  I've tried countless domestic and international brands for my extremely oily scalp, but this has the best cleansing effectiveness in my opinion. When I first tried it abroad a few years ago, it didn't lather well, so I had to wash twice. But after the renewal, it lathers amazingly, leaves my hair less stiff, and I'm truly satisfied.

  Although it contains some ingredients said to be unsuitable for sensitive skin, these oils are actually key for removing excess sebum. Even with my sensitive skin, I haven't experienced any scalp blemishes and have been using it well.

If you're truly concerned about health, I recommend this product, but only if you're focusing solely on the ingredients.

The most disappointing aspect is that it doesn't lather well, so it doesn't feel like it's cleaning my oily scalp thoroughly. Also, my scalp gets greasy quickly and develops an odor. By the afternoon, I can smell my scalp... It's frustrating.

I've been using this for about 4 years, starting even before pregnancy. The scent isn't irritating, and above all, the ingredients are excellent.

I can't say I've noticed my hair stopping falling out or getting thicker. I'm just using it because I think it's probably better than regular store-bought products.

This works similarly to Avalon Organics Biotin, but I found it a bit more effective. It's really great for oily/seborrheic scalps and has excellent cleansing power. I love that it's not creamy but a clear liquid, and the natural herbal scent isn't artificial. I highly recommend this to those who want to focus on scalp care rather than just hair. After washing, your hair doesn't feel stiff like it does with some soaps. In fact, for me, it made my hair feel thicker and healthier.

If your hair gets greasy within half a day, be prepared when using this. I haven't tried it yet, but a Daiso shampoo brush might help... I should go buy a brush later.

However! It really doesn't lather well. I know these types of shampoos typically don't foam much, so I've been using it patiently. But because it doesn't lather, it's hard to spread evenly, so I end up using about 1.5 times more than other shampoos. The consistency is too thin - if you're not careful when squeezing it out, it might spill (though I haven't spilled any yet). It also seems to have weak cleansing power. With other shampoos, my hair stays decent for 24 hours, but with this one, by the afternoon my hair starts to fall flat and get greasy. I might need to use this after summer passes. [Update 16.11.13: After peak summer, I got a Daiso shampoo brush to use with it, and it's really good now. For my combination-dry scalp, it can last about 1.5 days. Without the brush, my hair would get too limp and greasy after half a day, which was a major drawback. Now the only cons are that it doesn't lather and I have to use more product. Update 17.02.17: Even with this shampoo, if I don't manage my condition well, the scalp dermatitis recurs. While it has weak cleansing power, it makes my hair stiff, which might be drying out my scalp too, causing irritation on some days. Of course, when I'm in good condition, any shampoo works fine, be it Avalon, Elastine, or Kerasys. I bought this specifically for when I'm not feeling well, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't seem to make much of a noticeable difference.]

I bought the lemon version, but since it was out of stock, I'm using this one instead. I have sensitive scalp prone to dermatitis if not cared for properly, so this product was recommended to me. First off, the scent is truly delightful - it smells like Sunkist lemon candy. You might find yourself salivating while washing your hair! It also seems gentle, as I didn't feel any irritation on my scalp. Initially, my scalp dermatitis didn't flare up. [Update 17.02.17: I take that back, the scalp dermatitis does recur...]

It can dry out the scalp. While it's great for oily scalps, those with dry scalps might want to avoid it. If you're using it for scalp issues, conditioner is a must for damaged hair. Otherwise, your hair might end up feeling like straw. For healthy hair, it seems to make it even healthier, but I haven't seen much improvement when using it on already damaged hair.

Personally, I think it's better than the biotin shampoo from the same company. We've been using it for years because of my husband's hair loss concerns. I occasionally try other natural products, but my husband insists this one is unbeatable. For severely damaged hair, I strongly recommend using conditioner with it. Healthy hair feels incredibly bouncy after drying when using this product.

Just because it's organic doesn't mean it's 100% safe, unfortunately. While it's better than regular shampoos, I still got some blemishes on the back of my neck and it's a bit itchy
