I was pleased to find it at a relatively affordable price through direct overseas purchase. It caused facial redness and flaking of the skin surface after cleansing. I wouldn't recommend this for those with sensitive skin. Since it's marketed as a cleanser that removes makeup too, it seems a bit harsh for just regular face washing. - su**********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 21, 2020
While using this cleanser, I don't think my skin has ever reacted badly or flared up specifically because of this product. At first, I found it strange that it didn't lather much and didn't leave my skin feeling squeaky clean, which made me feel like it wasn't cleansing well. However, as I continued using it, I realized it actually causes less skin tightness and irritation compared to products that leave your skin feeling squeaky clean. Since this isn't a cleanser that lathers well, it took some getting used to when I first started using it. On top of that, I was accustomed to cleansers that left my skin feeling squeaky clean, so the slightly slippery finish initially made me feel a bit uneasy. So, for first-time users, it might feel a bit awkward until you get used to it. I recommend not getting too hung up on the lack of lather when using this product. It's not a product that feels like it has strong cleansing power, so I suggest double cleansing or using an exfoliating toner after this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 15, 2019
I'm living in Canada, and Korean cleansing foams are so expensive here, so I started using this. I got it for around C$8 here. At first, I didn't like the slippery feeling after rinsing, but apparently, that's a sign it's gentle on the skin. I'm not a fan of this product's scent. Some locals say it smells good, but to me, it's reminiscent of shampoo. It's both a pro and a con - my husband really dislikes the slippery feeling that lingers after rinsing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 2, 2018
I used this product without any issues. However, after looking into it, I realized the ingredients aren't particularly great. I'm considering trying a different product. I used this product without any particular complaints or disappointments. - da********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2017
Due to frequently changing cosmetics, I developed contact dermatitis, followed by redness and a burning sensation, leaving my skin dry and itchy. My skin became super sensitive, rejecting most products. This cleanser is the only one I've used for over 8 years. As someone who wears heavy eye makeup, other cleansers often leave shimmer residue, but this one removes everything completely. While some say it doesn't cleanse well, I find it the most effective compared to other drugstore products. Being a foam cleanser, it's not entirely free from tightness, but it's gentler and less drying than others in its category. Though it seems unavailable in Korea, I stock up during sales here in the US and continue using it. This product doesn't produce an extremely rich lather. If you prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing, you might find it a bit unsatisfying. Since it doesn't create a rich lather, for the first cleanse, I use one pump for a quick wash. For the second cleanse, I'm more thorough, or I use Bioderma first, followed by a careful cleanse with this product for effective cleansing. Note that if you use an oily product like a cleansing cream for your first cleanse, this might not lather well and could be less effective for the second cleanse. - 14****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 18, 2017
I have combination, oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin - basically every skin concern imaginable! I previously switched to a different foam cleanser and kept using it without realizing it was the problem, which led to a dermatologist visit... It was such a struggle! While browsing the Hwahae app, I chose this product. Looking back at the products that had irritated my skin, I noticed they all contained stearic acid. There aren't many products without it, but this one had mild ingredients and good reviews, so I decided to try it. It's become my holy grail foam cleanser! I use an oil cleanser first, then follow up with this. It doesn't create fluffy cotton candy-like foam, but it cleanses thoroughly without leaving my skin feeling tight afterwards. I can visually see my skin calming down! When my skin was at its worst and even people around me were shocked, I was so stressed, but this product was the MVP in soothing my skin. While other toners and emulsions seem to work well together, this foam cleanser is the most satisfying. It's moisturizing and non-irritating! I plan to stick with just this from now on. I don't want my skin to freak out anymore! Well, I couldn't find it at Olive Young or anywhere nearby, so I ended up ordering it from overseas through Coupang. Next time, I might buy several at once, maybe three. It's really good, I wish it was more readily available in stores! Because it's hard to find, there weren't many reviews either. After oil cleansing, I use this with slightly damp hands. I pump once and work it into a lather before cleansing. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 23, 2017
I'm planning to repurchase this. It's great for my morning routine - I apply BB cream and foundation before work, and when I come home in the evening to wash my face, I don't need makeup remover wipes! It removes makeup really well. There's no tightness after rinsing, and it's so gentle and nice. While I'm a bit surprised it contains some potentially harmful ingredients, it suits my skin type well. Works for combination/oily/acne-prone skin. As I mentioned earlier, it's disappointing that it contains some potentially harmful ingredients. I only use it for removing makeup, especially before bed. In the morning, I just use a regular cleansing foam. - so*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMar 23, 2016
As someone with acne-prone, sensitive skin, I've struggled to find makeup removers that work for me. But this product is so great, I'm already on my fourth bottle! It's incredibly gentle compared to other makeup removers, yet amazingly effective at removing all traces of makeup - even eye and lip products. It's truly impressive! I've been using this for over four bottles now, and honestly, I can't find any downsides. I think it's because it suits my skin so well. For reference, I have combination skin. It seems like this product would work well for oily, dry, and combination skin types alike. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 24, 2016
There's another version with micellar water that removes all makeup without any irritation! It doesn't completely remove eye makeup... Some eyeliner remains on the waterline - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 24, 2015
It removes face makeup better than I expected! Of course, I use a dedicated remover for eye makeup... Personally, I prefer cleansers that leave my skin feeling squeaky clean, but this one feels slippery. However, I've gotten used to it over time.
