As someone with oily skin that became very sensitive during winter, with an itchy scalp and red spots, I decided to try the Cheongmijung Seaweed Shampoo and Treatment after watching DirectorPi's video. Here's what I loved: 1. The scent is refreshing without any fishy seaweed smell - a pleasant surprise! 2. The consistency is just right - not too thick or thin. It adheres well to the hair without dripping. 3. The gentle formula soothed my itchy scalp without causing irritation. When I briefly switched to another treatment product, my sensitivity flared up, but it calmed down once I returned to this one. 4. While not a product feature, the official store's customer service is excellent. They quickly and kindly addressed an issue with a faulty pump on a new bottle. 1. I wish they'd have sales more often! With my long hair, I go through it quickly, and the price is a bit steep. 2. It seems I'm not the only one who's had issues with the pump. We need a more durable dispenser! 3. While it's gentle on the scalp, I don't notice a dramatic improvement in my hair texture with daily use, which is a bit disappointing. Initially, I used it daily, but since it didn't significantly improve my hair texture, I now use it with an electric hair cap. Unlike some treatments that don't work well with heat, this product noticeably absorbs better when used with the electric cap, enhancing its effectiveness! - Hwahae UserOily SkinMay 1, 2020
The texture isn't as thick as other treatments. It feels like it might flow a bit when you pour it into your hand. I love that the scent isn't artificial or overpowering. The 500ml bottle isn't as much as you'd think, and the price isn't exactly budget-friendly. It feels a bit wasteful to use generously. I originally used it twice a week, but after switching to almost daily use, I noticed a significant improvement in my hair texture. It seems to work best when you leave it on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing, allowing time for other tasks while it absorbs well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 19, 2020
Here's my review after using this product daily for 6 months! I'm a woman with very oily hair that gets greasy if I don't wash it daily, and my hair length is down to the middle of my chest. The scent: It doesn't have a fishy smell like seaweed or seafood, but rather a cool, fresh scent. I personally love cool fragrances, so I really enjoyed this. The texture: It doesn't drip or run when applied, but spreads nicely on the hair. The amount: For women, the quantity feels a bit small compared to the price. The packaging: Two pumps give just the right amount. Hair texture: Unlike other products, I don't feel an immediate softening effect when applied, and even after 6 months of use, I can't say my hair texture has improved. Overall: It might be suitable for those looking for a light, daily treatment, rather than for severely damaged hair. I find it most effective to apply shampoo to my scalp, use this product on the ends of my hair, put on a shower cap, and then rinse everything off at the end of my shower. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 16, 2014
The natural aspect is good. The scent is so-so~ There's hardly any smell when dried. I'm not sure if it performs the function of a treatment. It's soft only when washing, but stiff when drying..
