At first, just applying one layer on top of the toner immediately resolved the dryness, and the application felt soft and creamy, like whipped cream. When I patted it in, my skin felt so nice and bouncy - it was amazing... The volume is also generous, and I thought it might be a holy grail product...

However, as spring passed, I started to feel a bit stuffy and overly oily. <I seem to have combination skin, with a slightly oily T-zone and cheeks.> Anyway, it seems the cream was too heavy for the season, so I thought I'd switch to a lotion for a while! I used the Physiogel lotion comfortably through the summer and fall. But around November, the lotion alone started to feel too drying, so I thought, "Ah, it's cream season again!" and bought the Tricera cream. But this turned out to be somehow itchy, reddish, and stuffy... I have some redness and bumps, and my skin is thin, but I'm the type who doesn't really care much about skincare and finds it annoying. So I just thought, "Well, this must be my natural skin condition." But then, for some reason, I started using the leftover Physiogel again after a few days of the Tricera, thinking "If it's dry, I'll just apply it twice" (something I heard somewhere). And lo and behold, my skin felt so much more comfortable! Wow... I'm the kind of person who hates using more than two basic skincare products and just quickly pats on cushion foundation before going out, never bothering with touch-ups. So this experience made me realize for the first time that I might have sensitive skin, and the skin issues I thought were just my natural condition might actually be related to the products. Inspired, I started downloading skincare apps and watching YouTube videos on ingredients (so fun!). And now I've tried the Isoi product, which is great, but it's a gel type so it feels a bit drying... What else do I need to buy? How far do I have to go? Anyway, back to the Avene review - applying this did resolve the dryness, but it makes my skin feel irritated, stuffy, and oily... Even a bit itchy... So, my friends, use this at your own risk. The makeup absorbs really well, it's nice and dense, and it gives a dewy skin-like appearance.
Cons
Is it definitely more oily than the Physiogel? I just finished using Physiogel and immediately switched to this product, but after a few days, I started getting little bumps like sebum plugs on my chin.
