It eliminated my deep dryness. I also feel like my blemishes are calming down. The scent is way too strange. It's like the typical SK2 fragrance, but even more intense... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 30, 2019
I heard this has 8 times the concentration of Pitera. At first, I couldn't really tell the difference. But you know how they say people might not notice good things right away, but they'll spot the bad ones instantly? Well, I had some regular Pitera essence too, so I tried that after using this. And I've got to say, this Luxury Pitera is definitely better. It makes my skin noticeably more hydrated and smoother. The difference is clear! It's so expensive. It's really, really, really expensive... sigh. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedFeb 19, 2019
After cleansing, I pat this on with a cotton pad as many times as my age, and my skin feels so hydrated. It even helps calm blemishes! It's pricey and the amount is small. There are many other essences out there, but cheaper alternatives just can't match its effectiveness. - ru*****Combination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 16, 2018
It feels more hydrating than the original Pitera Essence, with a slightly thicker consistency. Pitera has become a product I can't live without - I get anxious if I'm not using it! It's incredibly expensive, costing around $300 per bottle. That's quite a burden on the wallet. I'm considering just layering the regular Pitera instead. - ba*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 17, 2018
I understand this product contains more Pitera than the original essence. That's probably why it still has that distinct fermented scent. Like the original, it's a watery essence that you pat in after toner for absorption. Despite containing preservatives due to fermentation, it's been a godsend for my extremely dry and sensitive skin. While other 'gentle' products often cause redness, this one soothes deep dryness without irritation. I'm on my third bottle after switching from the original Pitera. Though I sometimes can't tell the difference, using this definitely gives me a better feeling - placebo effect maybe? Haha! When I've tried other products, people always say I look tired. It's also great for calming blemishes - just soak a cotton pad and apply. For me, it's truly a lifesaver. The biggest downside? The price! It's outrageously expensive. There are so many affordable 100% galactomyces products out there now, but this one remains incredibly pricey. I've been trying to switch to more affordable, gentle alternatives. However, my super sensitive skin breaks out terribly when I change products, so I always end up keeping a bottle of this or the original Pitera on hand. Due to its fermented nature, it won't suit everyone. But if you can afford it, tolerate fermented products well, and need intensive skin care, it could be worth trying. Though it's hard to recommend given the cost. And the smell... that's another major drawback. I think it's because there are no artificial fragrances, which would require more preservatives. Lastly, while the packaging looks luxurious, it's hard to tell how much product is left - you have to keep shaking it to check. The best way to minimize the smell is to use a skincare fridge. It protects from direct sunlight, prevents bacterial growth, cools your skin, and reduces the odor. Storing it in a dedicated cosmetic fridge really makes a difference. Of course, that's another expense... sigh... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 22, 2018
This is definitely an item that divides opinions, but for me, it's one of my holy grails. When my skin feels dry, I lightly apply it using the 2-3 skin method, and I can feel the hydration building from within, making the dryness disappear. While the concern about potentially harmful ingredients is a bit of a drawback, for me, it's been far more effective than spending money on most dermatology treatments. That's why it's one of the lines I continue to purchase. I'm well aware of its drawbacks, but since it works so well for me, I personally don't have any cons to mention. Given the high price point of the LXP line, it seems like I get more as gifts than what I actually purchase. Just something to keep in mind if you're considering it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 25, 2018
I've been using the Pitera Essence for a while, but since I have combination skin, it didn't fully resolve the deep dryness around my mouth. So I switched to the LXP line, and it's been perfect for me. Especially in spring, fall, and winter (except summer), I found that just applying these three - the LXP essence, serum, and cream - keeps my skin hydrated all day long. I understand it's a good product, but the price is absolutely wicked. I'm still using it because I haven't found a suitable alternative yet, but it's just so expensive... - ji*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 10, 2017
It absorbs well, brightens my complexion, and leaves my skin feeling moisturized. I really do like it. The price is absolutely wicked. It seems like I'll use it up quickly, but it's just too expensive. Pick it up when you're traveling abroad. I got a great discount through an online duty-free shop. - gp*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSep 6, 2017
It gives you that feeling like your skin must be improving because it's expensive? Other than that feeling, I can't say I've noticed anything particularly good. At least it didn't cause any blemishes. It seems to lack value for money. There are plenty of good cosmetics out there at more affordable prices. - ss******Dry SkinJun 30, 2017
I got a sample at the airport duty-free in spring and after using it for a few days, my complexion seemed to brighten dramatically, so I bought the full-size product. The fragrance and texture are light and comfortable, making it easy to use. After using it for about a month, I'm not seeing the dramatic changes I initially felt. It seems the Pitera Essence alone might be sufficient. The price is just too wicked.
