My absolute favorite hydration-packed foundation! Even with my inner dry skin type, it didn't leave me feeling parched. The price point is a hurdle for students. Also, the packaging isn't very hygienic. After applying with your fingers, it's best to use a beauty sponge dampened with toner and gently pat it in. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2018
The coverage is excellent, and it lasts quite well. It's moisturizing, so it might be perfect for those with dry skin! There's nothing particularly bad about it. I'm extremely satisfied with this product. It might even be better suited for those with dry skin. Here's a pro tip: apply it in thin layers. The thicker you apply it, the less natural your skin looks! - ks*********Combination SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 13, 2018
My skin type is combination with a slightly oily T-zone, but overall it's quite dry. I've been using this product for so long I can't even remember how many years it's been. Due to my dry skin, I've wandered through the world of BB creams, foundations, and cushions quite extensively. I've tried other products while using this one, but I always come back to it. * Hydration I've tried many products claiming to be moisturizing, but when I applied just the base product, it always cracked and looked patchy. Then I discovered this product and fell in love. Not only does it feel hydrating right after application, but even hours later, there's no feeling of dryness and my skin has that coveted 'Inner Glow'. I've tried other Clinique products, but this one stands out as particularly good. For reference, here are some of the foundations I've tried in my quest to find the perfect one (if I included BB creams and cushions, the list would be even longer): - Make Up For Ever - Shu Uemura - Revlon - Bobbi Brown - Clinique Even Better - Innisfree - Laneige - Hanyul And many more... These were all popular hydrating foundations a few years ago. However, they either looked patchy or were so thin that they barely showed up on my skin. * Texture It has a rich, creamy consistency. Most liquid foundations that claim to be hydrating are too runny and slide right off my face, but this one feels like it has cream mixed in, giving it a satisfyingly thick texture. * Coverage While the coverage isn't high with just one layer, applying a second thin layer covers most blemishes. And even with layering, it doesn't look cakey or dry. I gave it 4 stars because there are some drawbacks, but I continue to use it because I haven't found a better product yet. * Longevity This isn't a foundation that lasts from morning to night. By afternoon, it starts to break down. So I touch up with a mist cushion. * Pump This product doesn't have a pump (I personally think this might be the biggest reason why it hasn't become more popular). This means you have to control the amount yourself. Clinique's official explanation is that they don't include a pump due to concerns that the thick texture might clog the dropper opening. * Discontinued??? In fall 2015, I was told it was discontinued both in Korea and in Europe where I was traveling. After that, I've been buying leftover stock online, but even that became harder to find. I thought they were completely out of stock and was looking for alternatives... but strangely, it seems they're selling it again. I was surprised to see this product pop up on Hwahae. 📌 Shortly after writing this, I went to the department store and confirmed it has indeed been discontinued. 😢📌 * Make sure to hydrate well in your skincare routine. A hydrating toner is good, or you can use a moisturizing sunscreen. * Apply thinly with a brush, then gently pat any brush marks with a sponge. For a natural look, do this once. For higher coverage, repeat twice! If you want even more hydration, after applying sunscreen, spray on a mist toner and let it absorb before applying this product (use a non-sticky toner, not the typical mists sold in stores). - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2017
I'm glad it's oil-free It doesn't cause acne and it's not stuffy I'm very satisfied The lasting power is also good It may be inconvenient to scoop and use, but I'm fine with it This is the first time I've used a foundation without blemishes When mixed with a tone-up cream, it really lasts a long time It's very moisturizing and doesn't crumble - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 27, 2016
When I used Double Wear alone, it emphasized my flaky skin, but when I mixed it with this product, the skin expression was better than when I mixed it with any other foundation. I have seborrheic skin with a lot of flaky skin and severe inflammatory redness, so almost all foundations don't match and break down... but this one is really good. +) Currently I'm using Double Wear + Lasting Silk, and this is much better. Double Wear and Clinique feel too thick. When I used it alone, it was just so-so. I'll have to try other Clinique foundations. If you have smooth skin, a brush would look pretty, but for flaky skin, patting with a damp Real Techniques sponge works best. +)) You need to apply a slightly thicker cream as a base. - te******Normal SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2016
The department store foundation is not too expensive!!! I don't know the reason, but it's itchy and it wipes off smoothly - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 8, 2016
My skin is sensitive, but this product hasn't caused any breakouts so far. It has good adherence, is nicely dense, and applies well. The lightest shade is not recommended. Since my skin tone is quite fair, using a shade one step down works better for a natural look. I don't do much makeup, so this product and a powder foundation are all I need.^^ The product comes in a jar, so it's difficult to control the amount and I end up wasting a lot. :( Mixing it 1:1 with a pink moisturizer helps maintain a more hydrated and smooth skin texture.^^ - qu*******Dry SkinJun 11, 2016
It's not too dry, which I like. Since my skin is a bit on the drier side, I use a mist and then apply this. It's great that I can just use it directly without any issues. Haha. It also mixes well with other high-coverage products, and the fluid texture makes it easy to blend. Haha. When used alone, the coverage is a bit lacking. You'll need to use a concealer to cover up blemishes. And the packaging is a bit disappointing. It's a shame that you can't use up the entire product. If you apply a moisturizer first and then use this in combination with a concealer, you can achieve a dewy, glowing look. Haha. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 22, 2016
The coverage, blendability, and longevity are all great. There's also hardly any oiliness. There's a slight drying sensation, and since I have a fair complexion, even the lightest shade is too dark for me. It makes me look darker than my original skin tone, so it doesn't give a radiant look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 6, 2016
I received a sample and tried it out, and I loved it so much that I bought the full-size product!^^ I've tried various foundations before, but in the morning they look radiant, but as time goes on, they end up looking horribly broken down and cracked... ㅠㅠ I thought my skin was just terrible.. ㅜㅜ ㅋㅋ But this one has a nice, subtle breakdown over time?? It gives a glowing look on the skin?? ㅋㅋ Since I have oily skin, my face gets super shiny in the afternoon, but this one seems to blend well with the oil?? ㅋㅋ It doesn't look overly made up, but it's nicely polished and has a refreshing look, which I really like~ It also looks quite firm and bouncy!ㅎㅎㅎ And most importantly, it doesn't seem to cause much trouble for me! This is my holy grail product, so I'll definitely go buy it again once I run out ㅋㅋ The coverage isn't incredibly impressive, but it's not too sheer either ㅎㅎㅎ Since I'm the kind of person who pays attention to coverage, I think I need to use a concealer as well ㅋㅋ But I thought the coverage was decent enough ㅎㅎㅎ The only downside is... there's no pump, so I have to dip a cotton swab in to use it, which is a bit inconvenient ㅜㅜ But I love it so much that I don't mind the extra effort ㅋㅋㅋ Well, the application method may vary from person to person, but I apply it with my hands and then gently pat it with a cushion at the end, which seems to help improve the longevity a bit^^
