When my skin gets dry, I always get milia around my chin, and applying this helped a lot. I may be an exception, as oily skin types can sometimes react poorly to it. But since there are so many cases of oily skin, that may be why it worked for me. I've been chronically suffering from atopic dermatitis and coin-sized eczema, and I've almost given up on going to the hospital, only visiting when it gets really bad. But this product has been very helpful. For body moisturizing, it's much more effective to mix it with a body cream rather than using it alone. In the summer, I didn't feel much inconvenience using it in a pump bottle, but in the winter, it's really hard to dispense. They say it's good for the lips too, but I didn't see any effect on my peeling lips. Oil pulling with this also didn't work that well - olive oil seems to be the best for oil pulling. The taste was better than expected, but I stopped taking it since the efficacy is still unclear - there are conflicting reports about its benefits for heart health. It's also good as a lash serum, and you can mix it into hair masks. If you're using it as a lash serum, don't throw away your old mascara - just clean it well and reuse it. In the winter, you can put it in a small Lock&Lock-type container and microwave it for 30-40 seconds to soften it to a good consistency for use. I forgot to buy cleansing oil, so I just did an oil cleanse with this and followed up with a foam cleanser, and it removed my makeup reasonably well, though it didn't do a great job on lip and eye makeup. For a relaxing bath, add a tablespoon to the bathwater and stir vigorously. After a dental scaling, when my gums were sensitive to toothpaste, mixing it with the toothpaste worked well. Anyway, the uses are endless - just get creative with it! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinMay 25, 2017
I heard good things about coconut oil, so I happened to find it at Olive Young and bought it~ My skin is very dry, so I applied it after showering, but the dead skin became even more visible. Even after using it several times, the dead skin is accentuated when I apply it; it hardens when the temperature drops and becomes oily when it's warm. I used it with brown sugar as a scrub when showering, and it worked quite well.
