It's great for applying to dry areas of the face during winter. You can also use it on split ends and cuticles. Being coconut oil, it has a strong scent. As it's an oil, it might not suit oily skin types well. - y7***Normal SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesRecommendedNov 8, 2022
The subtle coconut scent makes it perfect for use anytime. As it's an oil, it does take a while to fully absorb. Applying a thin layer on your face once a week before bed leaves your skin incredibly soft the next morning. Mixing it with a body emulsion and applying to the skin has significantly improved my keratosis pilaris. The container is a bit inconvenient to open and close. Due to the cold weather, it solidifies, making it necessary to melt before use, which can be a hassle. After using a modeling mask, apply an emulsion followed by this oil instead of cream. The next day, your makeup will go on beautifully. - tj*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2020
The fragrance-free formula is gentle and non-overwhelming, and the generous amount makes it versatile for various uses. It's more ordinary than expected, without any noticeable effects. Being an oil, it's inconvenient as it tends to get everywhere when applied to the body. - ji*********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 29, 2020
I heard coconut oil is called a gift from the gods, so I bought it cheaply from iHerb after all the rave reviews. Since I purchased it in winter, it arrived in solid form. I've been using it as an eye balm and lip balm. While Vaseline is still the best for lips, I decided not to use it since mineral oil isn't good when ingested. Coconut oil works better as an eye balm than a lip balm. It feels a bit oily when first applied, but it absorbs completely after a while. Unlike Vaseline, which can cause milia when applied under the eyes, coconut oil didn't cause any blemishes. I used to only apply Vaseline around my eyes and on my eyelids, but I've switched to coconut oil since it's better ingredient-wise. I apply eye cream first, then gently pat coconut oil on top as the final step. I'm planning to try it as a face mask too. It's inconvenient to use in cold temperatures as it solidifies. Although I bought it at a low price in the $3 range, the quantity is small. I melt a small amount using a double boiler, add 1 drop of perilla oil and 2 drops of glycerin, then refrigerate it to solidify for use as an eye and lip balm. It works great as an eye balm! I've heard mixing coconut oil with honey and a small amount of baking soda makes a good face mask, so I'm planning to try that. - ha*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 15, 2019
My sensitive, dehydrated, and extremely dry skin used to have a lot of dead skin cells, but after using this, it's much better! I love that it's not sticky at all. There wasn't much to complain about while using it, but the packaging looks a bit cheap, which is slightly disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 15, 2018
The wide opening of the container makes it easy to use even when the product has solidified. The scent felt too out of place. From early spring, it caused a blemish explosion right after application, so it's probably best to use this during cooler seasons. I use it as a substitute for cleansing oil. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinMay 1, 2018
The hydration is excellent. When applied, it feels silky smooth and instantly eliminates dryness. The coconut ingredient doesn't seem to agree with me. I noticed some bumps on my body and wrongly suspected my hyaluronic acid supplement, but it turns out this was the culprit. If you have super sensitive skin, I recommend patch testing on the back of your hand before use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 14, 2018
It's perfect for applying to your body in winter. It helps with atopic dermatitis and even eliminated the dead skin cells on my heels. I'm satisfied with how gentle and affordable it is. However, keep in mind that it feels heavy during summer. It's usually solid in winter, which makes it inconvenient to scoop out. I'm also a bit concerned about hygiene. - su**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinNov 27, 2017
When my skin gets dry, I always get milia around my chin, and applying this helped a lot. I may be an exception, as oily skin types can sometimes react poorly to it. But since there are so many cases of oily skin, that may be why it worked for me. I've been chronically suffering from atopic dermatitis and coin-sized eczema, and I've almost given up on going to the hospital, only visiting when it gets really bad. But this product has been very helpful. For body moisturizing, it's much more effective to mix it with a body cream rather than using it alone. In the summer, I didn't feel much inconvenience using it in a pump bottle, but in the winter, it's really hard to dispense. They say it's good for the lips too, but I didn't see any effect on my peeling lips. Oil pulling with this also didn't work that well - olive oil seems to be the best for oil pulling. The taste was better than expected, but I stopped taking it since the efficacy is still unclear - there are conflicting reports about its benefits for heart health. It's also good as a lash serum, and you can mix it into hair masks. If you're using it as a lash serum, don't throw away your old mascara - just clean it well and reuse it. In the winter, you can put it in a small Lock&Lock-type container and microwave it for 30-40 seconds to soften it to a good consistency for use. I forgot to buy cleansing oil, so I just did an oil cleanse with this and followed up with a foam cleanser, and it removed my makeup reasonably well, though it didn't do a great job on lip and eye makeup. For a relaxing bath, add a tablespoon to the bathwater and stir vigorously. After a dental scaling, when my gums were sensitive to toothpaste, mixing it with the toothpaste worked well. Anyway, the uses are endless - just get creative with it! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2017
After washing hair, hands, and feet, there is still some moisture. I'm using this natural product and no longer use hand cream, hair oil, or body oil. One product is all I need! It's a bit less moisturizing haha. In the dead of winter, mixing in some oil would probably be better. After showering, apply this all over your body without drying off first. This product has a very mild, almost odorless coconut scent.
