Although I dislike a thick and heavy texture, this product has an appropriate consistency with excellent spreadability and quick absorption. As an essence is typically used between a skin toner and a lotion or cream, the application felt good to me. This is a straightforward and versatile essence.

Pros
The Kiehl's products have a silky, smooth texture and spreadability!! They have a moisturized, dewy appearance like they have a moisture barrier applied. Kiehl's really gives out a lot of samples haha. Is it store-by-store? I got around 3-40 samples of this and various other products like the Facial Moisture Cream and so on.
Cons
Although I used up close to 40 samples, I didn't feel that the product performance was outstanding. They were selling a 'Youth Volume Essence', but it didn't really... I'm not sure about the plumping effect either ㅠㅠ They claim it's 'deeply hydrating', but I didn't feel like it provided that great of hydration. It doesn't even contain commonly used moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid (it's just relying on glycerin) and the perilla leaf extract at the bottom of the ingredient list as an antioxidant is quite disappointing.
Tip
While it seems to be a moisturizing 'Youth Volume Essence', there are likely more affordable and better formulated essences out there, so I'd recommend looking into other product options.

This product is perfect for dry skin. It absorbs well and has great spreadability. It also works well with makeup - I've been using it for several bottles now.
Cons
The price range is a bit high, which is disappointing. But other than that, there are no downsides.

Although it may appear thick, the texture is incredibly smooth and absorbs into the skin quickly. It applies softly and leaves a clean finish! The formula itself feels hydrating, so as soon as you apply it, your skin instantly feels refreshed and soothed.
Cons
After applying, I experienced irritation and itchiness from the incompatible ingredients, and though I hoped it would improve, the irritation only worsened. I ended up having to wash it off... It seems this product is not suitable for my skin type :(

As many have mentioned, the spreadability is good...just the spreadability...
Cons
Mixing glycerin with silicone and propanediol? Anti-aging??? 80,000 won per bottle???? Where's the conscience? It's dubious to use at night because of the silicone, and oily during the day because of the propanediol lol. Was there even a need to use it in the first place? I'd just slap some glycerin on my face.
Tip
I've tried Kiehl's moisturizer, vitamin C serum, and this product, but if you look around, you can find brands focused on functionality like Sidmool, Isntree, and The Ordinary, and get similar (or even better) ingredients for about half the price. Oh, and the lip balm lol, it's just vaseline with fragrance, so you can just buy vaseline and use that.
