This product is highly recommended! As a Kiehl's enthusiast, I always try out good products when I get samples, and after using the sample, I loved it so much that I immediately purchased it! Pros
The Kiehl's products have a silky, smooth texture and spreadability!! They have a moisturized, dewy appearance like they have a moisture barrier applied. Kiehl's really gives out a lot of samples haha. Is it store-by-store? I got around 3-40 samples of this and various other products like the Facial Moisture Cream and so on.
Cons
Although I used up close to 40 samples, I didn't feel that the product performance was outstanding. They were selling a 'Youth Volume Essence', but it didn't really... I'm not sure about the plumping effect either ㅠㅠ They claim it's 'deeply hydrating', but I didn't feel like it provided that great of hydration. It doesn't even contain commonly used moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid (it's just relying on glycerin) and the perilla leaf extract at the bottom of the ingredient list as an antioxidant is quite disappointing.
Tip
While it seems to be a moisturizing 'Youth Volume Essence', there are likely more affordable and better formulated essences out there, so I'd recommend looking into other product options.

It seems to be the best for hydration My skin is dry, so after cleansing and using AHA/BHA toners, my skin gets extremely dry. But when I just apply this product, there's no tightness and my skin feels soft and comfortable. The dryness goes away quickly. And since I have sensitive skin, I can't use just anything, but I like that I can use the Kiehl's one without worrying about breakouts.
Cons
It's very faithful to its main function of providing hydration, but I don't really feel any other major effects. If you're expecting your skin to look better or anything like that, it's not really... When using it, it just feels basic, but then I end up coming back to it after trying other things.
Tip
When used together with the Kiehl's Iris Extract Activating Essence, it makes my skin feel even more supple.

Although it may appear thick, the texture is incredibly smooth and absorbs into the skin quickly. It applies softly and leaves a clean finish! The formula itself feels hydrating, so as soon as you apply it, your skin instantly feels refreshed and soothed.

After applying, I experienced irritation and itchiness from the incompatible ingredients, and though I hoped it would improve, the irritation only worsened. I ended up having to wash it off... It seems this product is not suitable for my skin type :(
