ConsWhen applied in amounts larger than a thumbnail, it pills terribly, leaving a severe white cast as if I'm in a Peking opera. Despite claims of high photostability, compared to other products, it seems to offer poor protection against freckles even when applied generously. It's not a product I can confidently use daily.

These days, many products have SPF 50 PA++ or higher, which can feel heavy. I immediately purchased this after hearing it's suitable for sensitive skin.
ConsOh my goodness... On the first day I used it, I applied it over my morning skincare routine and went out. When I started sweating, the sweat turned the color of the sunscreen! To make matters worse, if you rub it, it pills like dead skin cells. It pills even without makeup, and even if you only use toner underneath. After just 5 days, I had to toss it out, despite the waste.

The scent is pleasant, and I love that it contains thermal spring water. It seems to strike a nice balance - not too dry, not too rich, just right in the middle.
ConsWhen I apply it, my cheeks and cheekbones experience a burning sensation. Looking at the Hwahae reviews, I'm not the only one feeling this! I was shocked. There seems to be an issue with this product. Initially, I didn't have this problem, but after using it a few times, the burning started. I tried using it less frequently, with breaks in between, but the issue persisted. Fortunately, it didn't cause any blemishes. Also, when I apply foundation or cushion over this, it pills and turns white like dead skin cells. While it's not completely unusable if applied carefully, it's still frustrating. These days, I just use it on my neck because I can't tolerate the burning on my face. Avène has disappointed me for the third time now, after issues with their toner and cream. I'm skeptical about their claims for sensitive, blemish-prone skin. I used to trust Avène's reputation for gentle products, but now my confidence in the brand has decreased.

ConsIt tends to pill like dead skin cells, and occasionally my skin feels a bit of a burning sensation. Plus, the scent isn't particularly pleasant.

ConsSigh. I finally realized why my makeup kept pilling like dead skin cells. It's because of this product. After applying, my face feels hot, and it's like my skin is dry underneath but greasy and shiny on the surface.
TipTo prevent pilling, start with a solid skincare routine. Wait for products to absorb fully, then quickly pat on this sunscreen. Give it time to set, then lightly apply a small amount of BB cream or foundation with a puff. Finally, press your palms against your face to help everything adhere. This should minimize pilling.

ConsIt pills like crazy, making it difficult to apply and wear. Not recommended for those who want to apply makeup over it.
TipIt seems impossible to prevent pilling completely... I apply a generous amount of moisturizer first, then spread a thin layer of this sunscreen on top, almost like a coating. This seems to reduce the pilling issue somewhat.

It left my skin feeling refreshed, which I really appreciated.
ConsThe most disappointing aspect was that no matter how well I applied my skincare, once I put on sunscreen and makeup, it would pill excessively, almost like dead skin cells coming off. It was really frustrating!

I won't buy it again... It's ridiculously expensive. I bought it because it said it was gentle, but I feel totally deceived.
ConsI bought it because they said there was no white cast, but there actually is some. You have to apply it quickly. If you squeeze it out and apply slowly, it kind of sets. The feeling is different from when you first apply it, it feels like it's clumping. It pills like dead skin cells every time you apply it. Even after application, it pills severely with just a light touch. At first, my skin tingled a bit, but I didn't mind. However, around the third use, my face started burning intensely. When I looked in the mirror, I saw large, red, acne-like bumps on my forehead, cheeks, chin, and philtrum. It took about 3 hours to subside. Absolutely not recommended.

If you're struggling with sunscreens, give this one a try.
ConsIt pills like dead skin cells if you don't apply your base skincare carefully. When first using it, you might feel a burning sensation on your face. The price is quite steep.
TipPat your base skincare in instead of rubbing. Spritz some mist before and after applying sunscreen, then gently pat with an air puff to prevent pilling.

ConsHowever, every time I use it, there's this white residue that appears...
TipPlease, I'm begging you... tell me how to prevent this white residue from showing up...
