The white cast is way too noticeable, and for someone with combination-oily skin like me, it quickly becomes greasy after a short while.

I'm not entirely sure, but it seems to absorb well. My friend with dry skin said she really likes it.

When squeezing out the sunscreen, it tends to get a bit messy around the nozzle. It also leaves a slight white cast, so you might want to apply just a small amount.

Compared to other sunscreens, this one seems to do a great job at covering blemishes and redness, which is fantastic.

There's nothing disappointing about this product for me! It's so sad that I've already been using it for 6 years.

I don't have any blemishes, so I don't really need foundation. When I use this, the brightening effect makes my skin look great!

It takes a little time after application for it to settle and look natural. You need to pat it in quite a bit for the best results.

I have combination skin, and this tends to make my face quite oily later in the day. Some people might call it a 'glow', but in summer it can be a bit much.

I know this product has gentle ingredients, so I use it as a base. When I apply cushion foundation over it, my makeup doesn't look cakey. On days when I'm just running errands nearby, I often go out with just this, sunscreen, and concealer - no full makeup needed!

It's challenging to use on the face. Personally, when I had to use it in Europe during intense sun, I reluctantly walked around with a white face and neck. If you bought it without knowing, only use it on your body when in strong sunlight. If you don't have a use for it even then, it works well for removing sticker residue from jars. Massage it into the sticker residue, wipe off with a tissue, then wash with dish soap.

Poor value for money. Difficult to control the amount applied. The white cast is excessive even for a physical sunscreen... I wonder if they even tested it before launch. Due to the intense white cast, it's impractical for everyday use, but it could work on the body in strong sunlight, hence the two-star rating. (If I could, I'd give it 1.5 stars)

Compared to other physical sunscreens from the US and Europe I've tried, this has a relatively lightweight texture. It offers effective UV protection with a high SPF.

The white cast is way too strong, so if you don't control the application well, it can make you look too pale and shiny.
Also, if you apply makeup on top of this, it seems to interfere a lot. At first it's fine, but later you'll see the oil coming through and the powder doesn't seem to absorb well.

Since I have sensitive skin, I can't just use any cosmetics or I'll get acne. But I tried Avene's other products and they seem to suit me well - no acne and they're gentle, so I think they're great.

If you're not using it for all-day outdoor activities with high UV exposure, you can mix it with foundation and apply it. To avoid reducing the protection, you can just cover it with powder foundation or compact powder, which will make the whitish cast look more natural.

The downside would be the whitening. If you apply too much, your face can turn a pale violet, looking almost like a cyborg. But since it's comfortable on the skin, there's not much that can be done about it.

The product before the renewal was really to my liking, but this one has been renewed with much more whitening, which is a bit disappointing. The previous product was a much more natural beige, and it was truly a lifesaver for me. It seems they reformulated it to improve the ingredients. Since I can't use chemical sunscreens due to breakouts, this sunscreen is the only physical sunscreen alternative for me. My skin feels comfortable all day long, and I don't experience any breakouts at all. As long as I control the application amount, I can use it without looking chalky.

The light application resulted in a bright, radiant complexion due to the slight whitening effect. I was able to just apply sunscreen and go out, which was great.

It seems a bit messy
in my personal opinion.....
