It's an oil, but it doesn't feel greasy. In fact, it makes my skin feel drier afterwards. I applied it to swollen blemishes, and the next day I noticed they had shrunk. I was worried that applying oil on blemishes might clog pores and make them worse, but it actually calmed the affected areas and dried them out, reducing their size! One thing to be careful about: when I used it twice daily, morning and night, without knowing better, I noticed that while the blemishes were decreasing, the surrounding skin became red and irritated. So it's important to apply just a small amount directly on the blemishes, avoiding the surrounding skin. Since it's 100% oil, you need to be careful with the amount you use. My husband has extremely sensitive skin prone to inflammatory acne, and when we applied this once to his blemishes, his skin became even more red than mine. People with very sensitive skin should probably avoid using this. Also, the 10ml bottle runs out quickly, so you'll need to repurchase often, which is inconvenient. I wish we could buy it in larger quantities. Apply it by dabbing a small amount onto blemishes using a cotton swab. Be careful to avoid contact with the surrounding skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 30, 2023
I bought this because I was having some skin issues and trusted Hanbum's reputation. After using it consistently, I've noticed that inflammation seems to be less frequent! Since it's an oil-based product, be careful not to apply too much as it might actually cause blemishes to appear! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 11, 2023
Tea tree, oh tea tree... It didn't agree with my skin at all! 😔 🌱My skin profile: ✔️Dehydrated, super sensitive combination skin ✔️Reacts strongly to ingredients and formulations ✔️Adult acne triggered by menstruation, sudden temperature changes, alcohol, stress, and indigestion ✔️Using only gentle basics leads to dryness around the mouth 👉 Moisturizing products are a must! (But products with too much richness lead straight to blemishes) ✔️Lately, mask-wearing has caused pimples around my mouth and cheeks 😢 🍒Ingredient notes: ✔️Centella asiatica works well, cica products are great 👍 ✔️Houttuynia cordata and chamomile extracts and other soothing ingredients suit me ✔️Hyaluronic acid is a winner! ✔️Tea tree tends to cause blemishes, and propolis doesn't seem to work for me either ✔️Citric acid also doesn't agree with my skin Other pore-clogging ingredients instantly cause milia Tea tree doesn't suit me, but every few years I find myself trying it again... Only to end up with more blemishes... I never learn! This might be good for those whose skin agrees with it! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 29, 2022
I only used it once or twice and then stopped because I started getting blemishes After using this product, I think my skin started developing blemishes - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinJun 27, 2022
As someone with acne-prone skin who has been using tea tree oil for a while, I've tried many tea tree products before this one. In my experience, most tea tree oils seem pretty similar. They don't magically clear up acne overnight, but with consistent use over time, you'll notice blemishes gradually fading. I didn't see any dramatic results. While it does help calm breakouts somewhat, new blemishes still tend to appear. I apply it by dabbing it on with a cotton swab. Initially, I tried mixing it with my moisturizer, but I found it tricky to get the ratio right. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 11, 2022
Perfect for small folliculitis or any blemishes! You need to dab it with a cotton swab only on the areas where blemishes have appeared. It's 100% tea tree oil, so I heard you need to use it carefully. I received it through express delivery and was pleased to find two bottles inside. While it can be used in various ways, I tried it with shower gel + tea tree oil, but I'm not sure about its effectiveness. I was hoping to calm down my back acne, but I guess I'll have to look for another solution. Apply it only to the areas with blemishes by dabbing with a cotton swab! Dab it gently with a cotton swab! Be careful not to overuse it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2021
I thought the amount would be small, but it's actually quite generous! Many people say the scent is hit or miss, but personally, I'm a fan. Also, it's so refreshing to spritz a drop or two on your underwear or clothes. When using it on your skin, you really need to be careful with the amount. I applied just a drop or two on my forehead using a cotton swab, and now I'm suffering from a severe breakout of tiny blemishes... Make sure to patch test before using it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 19, 2021
The scent is lovely, making you feel like you're in nature. It's hygienic and pleasant! I used it on acne that looked like it was about to become pustular, but it made the blemishes worse. It seems this product doesn't suit my skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2020
I really loved the scent of this product. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. The product itself just didn't seem to work well for my skin. First off, the application process was quite cumbersome. It was difficult to get the right amount on the cotton swab - sometimes too little, sometimes too much. When I dabbed it on my blemishes, I initially felt a tingling sensation that made me think it might be working. However, after using it consistently for several days, my blemishes didn't show any signs of improvement. Instead, they became increasingly red, larger, and more painful. I eventually had to stop using it. I'm not sure if I was using it incorrectly, but now I'm left with worse blemishes and feeling quite stressed about how to deal with them. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 27, 2020
Well... I have oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin, so I gave it a try. At first, I felt a tingling sensation, which made me hopeful, but it didn't really have much effect. It was almost like a placebo - I couldn't tell if it was working or not. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't use it for long, but after applying it to specific areas, my blemishes became more irritated and red. Don't be tempted to use too much on problem areas. Just apply a drop or two with a cotton swab.
