But oh boy, was I wrong!
ConsIt stings so incredibly much... My skin isn't particularly sensitive, and I've never had a burning sensation with any other product, but this one makes my face feel like it's on fire. I'm baffled by the claims of good absorption. Maybe it's because I tend to apply sunscreen generously, but it leaves a white powdery residue on my face. I have to keep rubbing it in to make it disappear, which means spending extra time every morning scrutinizing my face in the mirror. Also, for a daily-use product, it's frustrating that the tip always hardens overnight. I have to wipe it clean with a tissue before each use, which is quite inconvenient.
TipI'll say it again: I have really resilient skin, but this product sets my face ablaze. I strongly advise against purchasing it if you can help it.

Please keep this in mind! I bought this product after a cosmetics expert at the drugstore recommended it for its sebum control and matte finish. Unfortunately, it really didn't work for me. If I had to find some positives: ✔️No eye irritation My skin is incredibly sensitive, and my eyes are even more so. I always prioritize products that don't irritate my eyes, so the lack of eye irritation was a bit of a silver lining. ✔️Absorbs well The texture wasn't too runny or too thick, and it spread easily on the skin. I liked how smoothly it applied.
ConsOh, the downsides... I have so much to say! Let me explain one by one: ✔️Skin irritation (likely due to avobenzone) 8-9 times out of 10, within a minute of application, my skin temperature would spike dramatically. It felt like I had a severe burn - the pain was intense, forcing me to wash it off immediately. The other 1-2 times, it just caused stinging and a burning sensation. I suspect the avobenzone doesn't agree with my skin. Even after washing it off, my skin continued to burn and feel irritated for about an hour, forcing me to go out without makeup. ✔️Excess oil When I tested it on my hand, it seemed to have a matte finish. But maybe I should have tested it on my face? Initially, it felt firm with just the typical sunscreen oiliness. However, after 1-2 hours, I could feel and see the oil building up to an uncomfortable level. I seriously doubted its sebum control claims. ✔️Makeup pilling Unless you apply the tiniest amount and put extra effort into your base makeup, your face becomes a mess with makeup sliding off like it's melting. It was shockingly bad - almost impossible to fix. ✔️Blemishes I usually only get small blemishes, with maybe one cystic acne spot per month at most. But after switching to this sunscreen (keeping all other skincare and makeup products the same), I immediately broke out with 4-5 cystic acne spots. It was awful!
TipIf you're sensitive to avobenzone like me, you might want to think twice before purchasing this product.

ConsAt first, it was fine for the first week and didn't cause any blemishes. But suddenly, one day when I applied it, my skin started tingling. I quickly removed it and used a baby sunscreen instead. Haven't used it since

I switched to this after finding Avene's sun fluid left a severe white cast.
ConsIt stings immediately upon application and my face feels hot... I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it contained avobenzone. My skin was ruined before when I used a product with this ingredient. It's infuriating that they've disguised it under a different name. Those with super sensitive skin should avoid this.

ConsAfter applying, within 1-2 minutes my face started feeling hot and tingling, so I washed it off immediately. But redness had already appeared on my cheeks and around my mouth. Thankfully I didn't apply it near my eyes. This reminded me once again not to buy just anything carelessly while traveling. While it absorbs well and feels moisturizing on the back of the hand, when applied to the face it leaves a severe white cast and doesn't spread evenly. Definitely a waste of money.
TipThere are many other sunscreens that are much better than this one

It's perfect for my son who has sun and sunscreen allergies.
ConsThere's a slight tingling sensation when applying. It gets better after a little while though.

Oh, it is quite rich in oils, so it might be suitable for those with dry skin lacking in natural oils.
ConsOh no, this product stung from the very beginning. I ended up using it on my arms and legs when going out, just to use it up. It was so irritating and itchy, I simply couldn't bear to use it anymore. I'm avoiding the entire La Roche-Posay line now. Products from the same brand tend to have similar ingredients, so I suspect they won't suit my skin either.

If you have good skin, this might be all you need.
ConsIt causes a burning sensation after application and made my skin itchy. It's a bit matte, so it doesn't apply smoothly. I developed small blemishes on my chin.
TipIf you experience similar symptoms, it might be best to avoid using this product.
