It absorbs quickly and doesn't make my makeup separate. The application is smooth and pleasant. Apart from a slight white cast, everything else is great. The white cast isn't too noticeable anyway. - he*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 3, 2020
This is my holy grail sunscreen! As someone with extremely dry skin, every sunscreen I've used before left my skin parched, and when I applied makeup over it, I'd experience deep dryness and my makeup would look patchy. But on days when I use this sunscreen, I can go about my day without any dryness. I've gone through more than 3 bottles! It's incredibly hydrating! The finish might even be considered a bit sticky. It has a brightening effect - some might call it a white cast, but I love it and consider it a plus. Makeup applies beautifully over it. It gives the skin a smooth appearance with a natural glow. As someone with dry skin, I couldn't use matte foundations before, but when used with this sunscreen, it gives a moisturized finish without dryness. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin or those who dislike sticky textures. It can feel sticky and pill if not applied carefully. You need to take care when applying it. If you dislike the brightening effect (which some might perceive as a white cast), this might not be for you. - ar*********Combination SkinRecommendedDec 17, 2019
First off, I love how lightweight the formula is! It has just the right amount of brightening power, and it's fragrance-free, which is great. I didn't experience any eye irritation either. What's more, the high SPF is a huge plus - I'm absolutely thrilled with it! There's honestly nothing to complain about! Not a single thing I dislike about this product. I noticed that beauty YouTuber Pony used this product with a damp sponge in her bare-faced makeup tutorial. That's how I often apply it too! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 13, 2019
It absorbs well and offers great sun protection. I'm definitely considering repurchasing. If there's one downside, I'd say it's that the price is a bit on the higher side. - sm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityAug 8, 2019
It has a white cast, but it's not chalky. You could use it like a brightening moisturizer. It's somewhere between dewy and matte... I had to stop using this product because it made my skin red. I didn't notice at first because of my makeup, but when I used only this product, my face became flushed. There was no itching or blemishes, just redness. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 27, 2019
I've been using this consistently because it doesn't cause any breakouts or reactions on my super sensitive skin Since I have oily skin, I can feel a rich texture after applying it - ym*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2019
I like it! It's moisturizing and doesn't cause any blemishes. Pretty decent overall. There's nothing particularly bad, but it does feel a bit oily. Yeah, yeah, yeah... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 31, 2019
I couldn't find any positives. I tossed it after just a week of use. It severely irritates my eyes and causes redness on my skin. It also pills when I apply makeup. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 16, 2019
The absorption is decent and it leaves a nice matte finish. The filter protection is top-notch. Why on earth does this have a taste? I didn't even apply it to my mouth, but no matter how much I wipe my lips and inside my nose, there's this lingering sunscreen flavor that's absolutely nauseating. Also, it can only be used on its own and tends to settle into pores. Why did I buy this? It seemed fine when I applied it to my hand. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 11, 2019
I bought this Avène sunscreen when I ran out during my European trip, thinking it was a well-known brand. But oh boy, was I wrong! It stings so incredibly much... My skin isn't particularly sensitive, and I've never had a burning sensation with any other product, but this one makes my face feel like it's on fire. I'm baffled by the claims of good absorption. Maybe it's because I tend to apply sunscreen generously, but it leaves a white powdery residue on my face. I have to keep rubbing it in to make it disappear, which means spending extra time every morning scrutinizing my face in the mirror. Also, for a daily-use product, it's frustrating that the tip always hardens overnight. I have to wipe it clean with a tissue before each use, which is quite inconvenient. I'll say it again: I have really resilient skin, but this product sets my face ablaze. I strongly advise against purchasing it if you can help it.
