It's a refreshing emulsion. I didn't experience any blemishes, and it's suitable for daily use. I didn't really feel like it had any special functional benefits. It just seemed to provide simple hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 27, 2018
After struggling with skin issues from using Clinique, I switched to the Ibuki line and it's been amazing. My dry patches disappeared and my skin feels healthier. It's just consistently good, and I especially appreciate the hygienic pump dispenser. This is the most disappointing product in the Ibuki line for me. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, using this alone leaves my skin too dry. I need to use a hydrating essence before this or follow up with the Ibuki moisturizer. Otherwise, it's far too drying for my skin. It's essential to apply an essence before this product or follow up with a moisturizer afterward. - ju**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 18, 2018
From my perspective, this product has a slightly thinner consistency, which I found great because it spreads quickly and absorbs well into the skin. Personally, if you prefer unscented products or have a strong preference for certain fragrances, I think this product might be hit or miss. For me, the scent really didn't agree with me, and I found it a bit challenging to deal with the unique fragrance every time I applied it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 30, 2017
There's nothing good to say. Unfortunately, there are no positives. It just felt like a regular emulsion, nothing more. After using it... I developed small, millet-like blemishes on my cheeks. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 16, 2017
In my late 20s, I finally splurged on a full skincare and makeup set from a store, using my own money. Before that, I only used basic skincare followed by sunscreen. The sales associate recommended the Ibuki line, which I tested and purchased. It's pretty decent for everyday use. Whenever my skin condition was even slightly off, it immediately gifted me with a burning sensation, tingling, and blemishes. Until now, I've found that emulsions with built-in UV protection and high alcohol content didn't suit me well, although they seemed fine during initial testing for a few days. But as expected... it didn't work out. Reluctantly, I gave up using it on my face and repurposed it as a body emulsion for my arms and legs. It seems that not everything in the same product line works equally well. The toner and cream were really great, especially the eye cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2017
The skin emulsion my mom has been buying for me since I was young. I've been using it for over 5 years, and it consistently keeps my skin moisturized. When I try to switch to something else, I end up with blemishes. It absorbs well without feeling sticky or greasy. The price keeps increasing. Even when the price stays the same, the volume decreases. The longer I use it, the more of a financial burden it becomes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinFeb 5, 2017
My skin texture has become incredibly soft. Even though I have sensitive skin, I haven't experienced any blemishes and I'm using it well. Ibuki is Shiseido's most affordable line, so it doesn't have major functional ingredients (targeting late teens to early-mid twenties). The best part is that it seems to enhance the skin's natural regenerative abilities. When blemishes appear, they fade away faster, and my previous acne scars have significantly diminished. The price is high, even though it's their most affordable line... but it's so good that I'll keep buying it. This skin and emulsion set alone is a bit light, lacking in hydration. As I have oily skin, I've adapted and it's fine for me, but I definitely noticed it feels much lighter compared to the emulsion I used before. It works well when you pat it in gently. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinJan 9, 2017
I have atopic skin that's prone to heat, dead skin cells, and cosmetic-induced irritation. I've tried many highly-recommended products, but oddly enough, I'm allergic to natural ingredients. I stumbled upon this product as a sample, and surprisingly, it doesn't cause any issues! It's the only cosmetic I can use long-term without developing blemishes. Plus, it's affordable. I was shocked when I saw the ingredients list. Given the low price, I expected as much... But anyway, since it's the only product that doesn't cause blemishes for me, I plan to continue using it. It seems that using only natural products isn't always the right approach for sensitive skin. Rather than focusing on 'good' cosmetics, thorough cleansing is more important, and minimizing the variety of products used appears to be more effective in preventing blemishes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 26, 2016
It absorbs well without feeling sticky and has great absorption Personally, I have oily skin with mild sensitivity. The day after using it, my skin wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped, and I noticed a few small blemishes appearing - ju*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 4, 2016
This product feels great when applied. When I follow it up with a moisturizer, my skin seems to absorb everything better. Plus, I didn't experience any blemishes. Using this alone might not be quite enough for some people's needs.
