Originally, I bought it to use on both body and face, but I was concerned about product contamination from dual use, so I ended up using it only on my face. I only became aware of proper skincare concepts about two weeks ago. Before that, I was using toner-emulsion-essence-cream (basically everything in no particular order). When I noticed issues with makeup adherence and longevity, I reached the drastic conclusion to ditch everything and just use cream! So I used Glycosolid alone for about 8 months... (Now I'm back to being a toner enthusiast, doing toner1-essence-toner2-Glycosolid for my skincare routine) First off, it's amazing that using just Glycosolid doesn't leave my skin feeling particularly dry! Of course, skin texture and clarity may not be at their best, but it really excels at locking in moisture with its rich formula. The great thing is, while it looks like Vaseline, it leaves your skin feeling soft and velvety without any stickiness after application. Also, I didn't experience any special blemishes while using Glycosolid. It effectively combats dryness during winter and seasonal changes. And makeup applies smoothly and stays put!
Cons[Parabens/Phenoxyethanol] Yes... it contains parabens and phenoxyethanol... Those sensitive to these ingredients should avoid it. However, the upside is that it won't spoil even after long-term storage, and I didn't experience any blemishes during my year of use, so the overall experience was quite good.
Tip[Use it mixed with a viscous toner/essence after thorough hydration!] For those who find Glycosolid too thick and difficult to use! First, make sure to thoroughly hydrate your skin, then think of Glycosolid as creating a barrier to lock in that moisture! ---------------------------- My current night care routine! 1. Toner (Missha Aqua Peptide: watery texture) for 5-skin method 2. Essence (I'm using Chanel now, but I think any first essence works well after the 5-skin method with a watery toner) 1 layer 3. Two layers of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid 4. Mix a pinky nail-sized amount of Glycosolid with 4 drops of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid toner for the finish! This might feel a bit heavy, but it doesn't contain pore-clogging ingredients, so it's great! Plus, it's winter night care, after all. ------------------------------ Morning care routine! 1. Toner (Missha Aqua Peptide: watery texture) for 2-5 skin method (This doesn't pill, so keep applying until you feel it's enough - skin condition varies daily) 2. Two layers of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid 3. Mix a pinky nail-sized amount of Glycosolid with 4 drops of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid toner for the finish! Then, change clothes and do your makeup - it won't pill! You'll get that firm, hydrated glow!
