[One-year usage review for facial hydration / Glycerin power ☆ / No blemishes / No surface dryness / No makeup pilling] I've been using the large tub of Glycosolid for a year now (the catch is I haven't finished it yet). Originally, I bought it to use on both body and face, but I was concerned about product contamination from dual use, so I ended up using it only on my face. I only became aware of proper skincare concepts about two weeks ago. Before that, I was using toner-emulsion-essence-cream (basically everything in no particular order). When I noticed issues with makeup adherence and longevity, I reached the drastic conclusion to ditch everything and just use cream! So I used Glycosolid alone for about 8 months... (Now I'm back to being a toner enthusiast, doing toner1-essence-toner2-Glycosolid for my skincare routine) First off, it's amazing that using just Glycosolid doesn't leave my skin feeling particularly dry! Of course, skin texture and clarity may not be at their best, but it really excels at locking in moisture with its rich formula. The great thing is, while it looks like Vaseline, it leaves your skin feeling soft and velvety without any stickiness after application. Also, I didn't experience any special blemishes while using Glycosolid. It effectively combats dryness during winter and seasonal changes. And makeup applies smoothly and stays put! [Parabens/Phenoxyethanol] Yes... it contains parabens and phenoxyethanol... Those sensitive to these ingredients should avoid it. However, the upside is that it won't spoil even after long-term storage, and I didn't experience any blemishes during my year of use, so the overall experience was quite good. [Use it mixed with a viscous toner/essence after thorough hydration!] For those who find Glycosolid too thick and difficult to use! First, make sure to thoroughly hydrate your skin, then think of Glycosolid as creating a barrier to lock in that moisture! ---------------------------- My current night care routine! 1. Toner (Missha Aqua Peptide: watery texture) for 5-skin method 2. Essence (I'm using Chanel now, but I think any first essence works well after the 5-skin method with a watery toner) 1 layer 3. Two layers of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid 4. Mix a pinky nail-sized amount of Glycosolid with 4 drops of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid toner for the finish! This might feel a bit heavy, but it doesn't contain pore-clogging ingredients, so it's great! Plus, it's winter night care, after all. ------------------------------ Morning care routine! 1. Toner (Missha Aqua Peptide: watery texture) for 2-5 skin method (This doesn't pill, so keep applying until you feel it's enough - skin condition varies daily) 2. Two layers of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid 3. Mix a pinky nail-sized amount of Glycosolid with 4 drops of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid toner for the finish! Then, change clothes and do your makeup - it won't pill! You'll get that firm, hydrated glow! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedNov 22, 2018
This is truly a must-have item! It's perfect for dry skin in winter. The cream absorbs well without feeling sticky. For hands prone to housewife's eczema in winter, there's no better cream. Highly recommended! There's honestly nothing to complain about, it's an excellent product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 30, 2018
This seems like it would be helpful for skin that's so dry it's cracking It's quite thick, making it challenging to spread evenly. However, it's great for applying to cracked heels - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinMay 31, 2018
I love that this is the cream that makes my skin feel the softest among all I've tried. It's great for that velvety touch. It feels like there's not enough hydration... While it's not marketed as a moisturizing cream, I was expecting more from its gel-like texture. That's a bit disappointing. For best results, use this as a complementary step in your skincare routine rather than relying on it alone for hydration or skin conditioning. It works hard when layered with other products but might be a bit cumbersome as a standalone item. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMay 17, 2018
It hydrates really well, and when I apply it, my hands become silky smooth. I love how it makes my skin feel! I was a bit disappointed with the ingredients. However, the newer versions seem to be better. - wo*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 6, 2018
* I suffer from cold hands and feet. In winter, even a quick trip to the supermarket leaves my hands cracked. My hands are cold all day, and my fingertips split like cracked heels. - I discovered this product 14 years ago (as a high school freshman) on the recommendation of a local cosmetics store. - In my 20s, I switched to organic and natural products, stopping use of this. But after 10 years, I realized nothing else compared. It's truly amazing. Nothing helps regenerate skin better when applied before bed. It even outperforms treatments for middle-aged cracked heels! When my fingertips are so painfully split that daily activities become difficult, applying this before sleep results in noticeable regeneration by morning. Although the cycle of cracking continues throughout the day due to frequent hand washing and my naturally cold, dry hands and feet. - ★Application tip: Many say it's thick, but after washing your hands, don't dry them with a towel. Instead, shake off excess water and mix the cream with the remaining moisture. It absorbs completely after a while, unlike Vaseline which leaves a residue. - The best organic alternative I found was probably Badger's Calendula Balm? It's better than Fucidin, but doesn't absorb as well. - After applying, when I use my phone near my face, the scent is overpowering. Checking the ingredients again, I see there's no added fragrance, yet it's so strong. It makes my nose burn and causes sneezing. I've become sensitive to scents after using natural & organic soaps, shampoos, and cosmetics for 10 years. Maybe I should only apply it right before bed after using my phone. - While applying, I can't help but imagine paraben particles entering my nose. Despite this, its effectiveness makes me think of it every winter. - When this runs out, I might try Badger's Calendula Balm again. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 5, 2017
The ultimate hydration champion for cracked heels! Even after just one day of application on dry, chapped skin, you'll notice a remarkable improvement. I originally bought this product in Germany and have been repurchasing it ever since. I often apply it to my children as well, and it seems to be effective for atopic dermatitis too. The only downside is that it tends to transfer after application. You need to massage it in well to ensure it absorbs properly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 14, 2017
I have very dry skin, so I apply this all over my body. Even on my little ones.. The texture feels sticky and heavy when applied. Because of that, I end up using it quite generously. Apply it after showering without completely drying off. You can also mix it with water or blend it with oil for use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 12, 2016
It works wonders for extremely dry hands and feet, leaving them incredibly moisturized. I always buy it from the Namdaemun import market - great price and amazing effectiveness! After applying, it's essential to wear sleep socks and gloves. The thick texture can be a bit uncomfortable, but I put up with it because the results are so good. An essential hand and foot cream for winter! - ru*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDec 10, 2016
I immediately bought this when I saw it contains 43% glycerin. I purchased it from Olive Young, where they had two sizes in tube form and two in jar form. Since there were no testers available, I opted for the 75ml tube. While I'm not sure about the jar version, the tube formulation is quite thick. It feels incredibly silky when applied!! (No wonder it's called a silk cream) It's also extremely hydrating!! The moisturizing effect seems to last for a long time. I love that it feels hydrating without being oily. The texture is a bit too thick. You need to be careful with the amount you use. I find it more versatile and convenient to mix a little of this with a hyaluronic toner and apply it around my eyes or on my hands. It allows for more diverse application methods.
