This is a matte-finish foundation with excellent coverage. It might be a bit challenging for dry skin, but I recommend it for combination dehydrated skin like mine or oily skin types. However, to prevent dead skin cells from flaking or wrinkles from being accentuated, it's important to apply a proper base before using this product! I have a 23 shade complexion, and the No. 2 Natural Beige is on the lighter side for a 23. Still, it has a yellow undertone which makes it look natural. It's great at covering most blemish scars and imperfections. It also naturally covers redness and has decent adherence. It used to be frequently sold out and hard to purchase, but I'm not sure how it is these days. While the quality seems decent for the price, the longevity was poor and the way it breaks down isn't pretty. Oil tends to come through especially in the nose area, so you need to touch up with powder. The matte finish makes it a bit difficult to touch up makeup. It's also disappointing that it contains 5 ingredients of concern. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 25, 2019
When I first applied it, I loved the matte finish. The yellow base matched my shade 23 skin tone perfectly. It quickly turned into an oil slick, with the product floating on my skin. To make matters worse, it caused severe blemishes, and my face broke out completely. I suffered for a month because of it... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 12, 2018
I love the matte finish, and it's great that it has a matte texture. The coverage is pretty good, concealing most imperfections. It doesn't feel sticky, which is a plus. It reminds me of the Anessa Aqua Sun Cream. Those with very dry skin might experience some tightness after application. Color-wise, shade 1 is typically equivalent to shade 21, but it's more like shade 17. Keep in mind that it only comes in two shades. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 3, 2018
The coverage is pretty decent and it lasts quite well. As someone with extremely oily skin, I found that applying it with a puff gave a nice matte finish. When applied with a damp puff, it tends to slide around a bit. The worst part is how it emphasizes dead skin cells when it starts to break down. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSep 10, 2018
It feels more like a concealer than a foundation. It's a bit thick and quite matte, which doesn't suit my skin type unfortunately. Even though I got the Natural Beige shade, it's lighter than other foundations - almost like a shade 1? The coverage seems decent. It doesn't hide all my blemishes since I have quite a few, but I plan to use it like a concealer. The amount you get is a bit small, and I was surprised by how light it is. It applies thickly and has a very matte finish, which is disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 26, 2018
It's really great for everyday use. The slightly matte finish worked well even for my dry skin. I got it on sale for 6500 won - what a bargain! I think it'll be perfect for trips to the valley. It's absolutely fantastic! It's a bit tricky to touch up. Unfortunately, it tends to settle into pores... I think it might apply even better if you use a damp sponge from Daiso - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 26, 2018
Wow... it's really matte. Highly recommended for super oily skin, not so much for dry skin. The staying power was pretty decent. It was convenient to use since it comes in pink, yellow, and base shades. Sigh... I got blemishes around my eyes and on my forehead after using this. While I don't usually break out easily, I do have sensitive skin. I wish they'd use better ingredients. First, make sure to apply a rich moisturizer as your base. Use a damp beauty sponge when applying - it helps reduce the tightening effect on the skin. That's all! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 15, 2018
As someone with typical combination skin... 1. Even with a thin layer, the coverage is impressive for its price point. It covers small pores well, and you only need a small amount. 2. Upon application, you can feel a matte finish that's perfect for summer use. 1. It darkens when it breaks down (the biggest drawback). It doesn't break down gracefully with oils blending nicely, so you must blot excess oil before touch-ups. 2. The staying power is less than expected... Maybe it's due to different base products, but while others reported 5-6 hours, I only got about 3 hours. Especially noticeable darkening on oily areas like the nose. 3. I use shade 21, and while I chose the color myself, it feels slightly darker than my usual shade 21, perhaps due to yellow undertones. (However, the coverage isn't bad) 4. As expected from a matte foundation, there's some caking. A beauty sponge is a must. Update 6/4: On 6/2-3, despite early summer heat waves and some sweat (though not too humid), with a slight breeze, the staying power was impressive. After applying toner twice, followed by a generous amount of soothing gel on the U-zone and a thin layer on the T-zone, then sunscreen, I applied a small amount of foundation with a damp sponge. From 10 AM to 9 PM, I only touched up my nose and butterfly zone twice. One time was just because I was concerned about where my glasses sit, even though it hadn't really broken down. While I'm not sure how it'll perform in peak summer humidity, I'm feeling less regretful about my purchase now. As it's a matte foundation, it should work well for oily skin in summer. However, for slightly dry areas like cheeks, you might experience some redness and blemishes if you don't prep your skin thoroughly. I've found that lightly dampening your sponge with water, mist, or setting spray and then bouncing it on your skin seems to improve the longevity. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 12, 2018
The coverage of this product is quite impressive! It effectively conceals most redness, blemishes, and acne. When applied, it feels incredibly hydrating, yet the finish is semi-matte. I'd recommend it for those with dry skin seeking a matte look, but it might be a bit heavy for oily skin types. Overall, it's an excellent product for its price! This product is far from ideal for oily skin. While it's true that it has a semi-matte finish, it feels extremely greasy (at least in my experience). Moreover, it doesn't provide that brightening effect I was hoping for. After using this, I developed a severe skin reaction that's still causing issues a year later. Everyone, please be cautious! To enhance adherence, apply the product using your hands. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMar 13, 2018
I was searching for a foundation that could balance coverage and hydration. The matte ones were too drying, while the hydrating ones lacked coverage. Then, on a friend's recommendation, I tried this! With my combination skin, it's perfect - not too oily, not too dry. It's practically my holy grail foundation! I loved everything about it! There's really nothing I can complain about!
