I've already gone through 4 bottles, if you can believe it! As someone who loves the radiance of shade 21, I found the pink base not overwhelming at all - it's just perfect! (I'm a big fan of the VDL foundation in A02 overall.) The skin finish is something special - it looks dewy without being greasy, has a beautiful glow while still having a slight powdery feel. I love it! The cream formula is a godsend for my dry skin, which is actually combination with an oily T-zone. Despite being a cream, it wears beautifully throughout the day. Even touch-ups are a breeze with no caking. It's become my absolute go-to for everyday wear!
ConsIn the sweltering summer heat, it can break down a bit more, especially around the nose. In winter, it holds up much better without cracking, but in summer, a primer is an absolute must!
TipFor application, I usually use a flat foundation brush or a puff from Daiso. However, with this product, I found the best method was to gently spread it with my fingers first, then finish with a puff. The cream texture works well with hands (but no rubbing, of course!).

It doesn't apply too thick, though. I usually use it with a wedge puff, and it creates a beautifully smooth skin appearance. I'd recommend it to those concerned about skin texture and unevenness. It's a moisturizing type that gives a glow, but for my combination skin, it wasn't excessive or greasy. It has just the right amount of hydration and radiance for fall and winter use. As for settling into wrinkles, after a few hours there's a slight creasing around smile lines, but it's not cracking badly - only noticeable up close. A quick pat usually fixes it, so it didn't bother me much.
ConsLike most foundations, it tends to break down with heater air. I noticed it separates and lifts when exposed to car heater air.
TipIn my case, I used it together with the VDL Lumilayer Primer, which really enhanced the skin texture appearance.

The finish has a luxurious quality to it, if I may say so. The coverage is just right, and I didn't experience any blemishes on my face (though this can vary, so definitely try a sample first). I usually have issues with pump-type foundations and primers causing skin reactions, but this one didn't, which was great. It's adequately moisturizing and adheres well to the skin. As someone with dry skin, I mixed in a drop of oil, and it gave me a beautiful glow with an excellent finish.
ConsThe major drawback of jar-type foundations!!!!!! The jar!!!! Hygiene!!!!!! No matter how carefully you maintain it, it's frustrating that dust can easily get in or bacteria can invade. It's truly great in every other aspect, and it would be wonderful if it came in a pump format... but I suppose the nature of the formula makes that impossible... What a shame...

It's quite effective at covering pores and blackheads around the nose area. At first, I tried applying it with various tools and wasn't impressed, but when I was in a rush one morning and used the built-in puff, it was a game-changer. I thought it was just me, but reading other reviews, I'm not alone! If you've already bought it and are feeling underwhelmed, give the air puff a try - you might be pleasantly surprised!
ConsMy skin's been acting up lately, so I've been extra diligent with my skincare routine. While it gives a subtle glow when first applied, by noon I notice significant flaking around my chin and mouth area. I think it's partly due to the sudden cold weather and my skin's oil-moisture balance being out of whack. For a foundation, it's relatively hydrating, but it's not exceptionally moisturizing by my standards. I think I'll need to search for an even more hydrating foundation.
TipThat air puff though...

Coverage ●●●○○ It effectively conceals most freckles and light blemishes. Notably, it smooths out fine lines and pores, giving the skin a sleek, glowing finish. For darker spots or blemishes, a touch of concealer can enhance the flawless look. 2. Moisture & Texture ●●●○○ While I battle dryness all over in autumn and winter, my T-zone remains oily even in cold months. Despite being cream-type, it's not as moisturizing as expected. It's more like a slightly thick liquid foundation. If it were in a tube, it might have a more BB cream-like consistency. The hydration level isn't satisfying enough for solo winter use. Might need to mix with oil. 3. Glow ●●●●○ YouTubers often use Lumi Layer primer before this. But even without it, this foundation alone creates a beautifully smooth, glowing finish. It's not a dewy glow, but a firm, sleek skin-like glow. As a result, pores and wrinkles are barely noticeable.
Cons1. Difficult to control the amount Unlike pump or tube types, you need to scoop it out with a spatula, making it hard to control the quantity. Being in a jar, it's more exposed to air, requiring extra care for hygiene and to prevent spoilage. I don't understand why they chose a jar format for this texture instead of a tube. 2. Challenging to apply thinly The cream texture makes it difficult to layer thinly. No matter how I apply it, it tends to go on a bit thick.
Tip1. Damp beauty blender / Rugby ball sponge ●○○○○ This unique cream formula pills and separates 100% when used with a damp beauty blender. Especially when the sponge is wet, it really pills and separates. 2. VDL Cream Foundation Brush ●●●●○ This brush is really good. It has dense, short, compact, and soft bristles. It allows for thin, well-adhered makeup application. Despite the cream texture, it doesn't leave many brush marks. However, if you apply it slowly in sweeping motions, it can leave brush marks and pill. Apply quickly with short, swift strokes for best results, especially around the nose and facial contours. Remember to use a light touch! This prevents pilling and ensures thin coverage. 3. Air puff ●●●●● Actually, using an air puff gives the smoothest finish, best coverage, and is the most convenient. It applies more satisfactorily and quickly than meticulously using brushes or sponges. After trying all methods, use a brush for thin application, and for quick, smooth, high-coverage application, especially on busy mornings, the air puff is the best!

The hydration lasts so long that I only need to touch up around my nose after lunch - no need for any other makeup fixes all day. Even though I tend to go for heavy coverage and apply a thin layer of BB cream underneath, it doesn't feel thick at all. For me, this might just be my holy grail foundation!
ConsIt might feel a bit heavy for summer use. Since it applies so moisturizing even for those with dry skin, I suspect it could feel a bit heavy on hot days.

It pairs perfectly with a damp sponge. My skin tone is between shades 21 and 23, and this doesn't make me look too pale - the tone is just right. I've been a foundation nomad, wandering in search of the perfect match, but now I feel like I've finally found my home base!
ConsAs moisturizing as it is, the staying power isn't very long. It also tends to settle into pores a bit, so a primer is a must. The biggest downside is that the bottle is so heavy, it's impossible to carry around - such a shame!
TipIf you meticulously fill in your pores with a pore-filling primer, then pat on the foundation with a damp Daiso puff, your skin will look absolutely flawless - like honey! It works much better with a damp sponge than with a foundation brush, the combination is truly exceptional!

It has a subtle glow and great coverage all in one!
ConsSince I'm used to cushion types, the biggest drawback is having to apply it with a brush or puff, which is a bit inconvenient. If they could change the packaging, even a tube would be better.

It covers pores well and gives a beautiful skin tone, especially the color is pretty. I finish it off with a light dusting of powder to set it, as it's the type that can easily come off.
ConsIt's easy to leave finger marks on your face, and it comes off easily...
TipApplying it with a brush ensures even application without settling into wrinkles. I mix it with Double Wear or Etude House's Long Lasting foundation and don't use powder. I especially use this product often in winter.

I started using this on a friend's recommendation, and it's been great for my dry skin, keeping it hydrated. It matches my complexion well, giving a natural look. There's no darkening, and after a short while, it creates a subtle, dewy Inner Glow.
ConsWhile it's very hydrating and moisture-rich, the coverage is definitely on the lighter side. You might even hear people ask if you're wearing makeup at all.
