My hair is definitely falling out less!!! After using it for 7 months, I've noticed new hair growth! Due to stress and age, I was losing a ton of hair. My already wide forehead... thinning hairline... While my scalp wasn't completely bare, my part was widening. My crown area was itchy, easily overheated, and hair would fall out even with gentle brushing. When washing and rinsing, I could see my hair being washed away. It was heartbreaking to clean clumps from the drain, only to lose just as much while drying and brushing afterward. At the salon, the staff would handle my hair gingerly as it kept falling out during washing and styling. I counted once - 60-80 strands daily! Cold water washes helped for a while, but eventually stopped working. I tried 3 famous anti-hair loss shampoos with no luck. As I was considering dermatological treatments, a friend mentioned Nioxin was recommended by US dermatologists for hair loss. Skeptical, I decided to give it a try. From day one, hair loss was reduced by more than half. I used the shampoo, conditioner, and treatment together. Occasionally it seems less effective, but then the next day shedding noticeably decreases again, which is reassuring. But if I stop using it, the shedding returns immediately. When I travel and use hotel samples, I'm faced with clogged drains again. Now Nioxin is a must-pack for trips. Using the shampoo, conditioner, and treatment together seems best, but if I had to rank them: shampoo >>> treatment >> conditioner. Now I have so many baby hairs sprouting along my hairline, sticking straight up (they're quite curly). In the past, I would have straightened them to tidy up, but now I'm just grateful they're growing. I figure they'll eventually grow long enough to lay flat. The ingredients... they're actually terrible. So I've been eyeing some well-known shampoos with better ingredients. There's one that's supposedly #1 on Amazon, and another popular brand... But even though the ingredients aren't great, it's working to reduce shedding and promote new growth right now... Some tips suggest leaving the shampoo on, but I just use it normally as directed. I work up a good lather, gently massage my scalp, and rinse thoroughly. I use the conditioner as usual too, applying and rinsing right away. For the treatment, I apply it generously to my crown and front hairline. I always make sure to blow dry my scalp completely. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 12, 2019
As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, I used to have a lot of flaking like dead skin cells. But since I started using Nioxin #6, it's improved significantly, and I've been using it for years now. My hair texture has also gotten better. Since there are different types available, I recommend checking carefully and choosing the product that suits you best. For the #6 product, I recommend using all three together: the shampoo, revitalizer, and treatment. The treatment, in particular, is absolutely essential. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 17, 2019
I've been using it for over 2 years, and first of all, my hair has become thicker, and my seborrheic scalp has improved a lot. However, recently, a lot of acne has come up, so when I went to a dermatologist, they said that this could be caused by the products I've been using all this time, which I didn't know about before. This applies to both shampoo and cosmetics. So when I looked at the ingredients in the Nioxin shampoo I've been using, there were a lot of harmful ingredients, so I'm going to try changing it this time. You have to use shampoo and treatment together, and you have to apply and wait, so washing your hair takes a long time ㅜ Buying online is the cheapest - im****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresAug 12, 2019
I bought a 1-liter bottle, but I'm not sure about any specific benefits. I purchased this before discovering Hwahae, and now I realize it contains many harmful ingredients. I've been using it for a year to address hair loss, itching, and blemishes, but unfortunately, the hair loss and itching persist... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 30, 2019
I've been using this shampoo for a year now, and I haven't developed any dandruff! Though lately, my scalp has been a bit itchy. It's challenging to see results with just the shampoo alone. The downside is that you really need to use the entire set together for effectiveness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 23, 2019
It feels refreshingly cool when you close your eyes. Other than that, it's not particularly remarkable. As I continued using it, the itching became unbearable. Plus, it's quite expensive, which is disappointing. - ms*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 10, 2018
Attention hair loss sufferers - this is a must-buy! 1. Reduces the amount of hair fall 2. Revives volume at the roots I've always been prone to hair shedding, but suddenly it got much worse. A handful while shampooing, another during conditioning, and yet another while drying... It was far too much to be considered normal shedding. I tried a few anti-hair loss shampoos and natural options, but the former made my hair feel dry and seemed to cause more shedding, while the latter was nice but didn't significantly reduce hair fall. Then I tried Nioxin 3 and 4. I use the shampoo, conditioner, and treatment. The shampoo can leave hair feeling a bit stiff, but unlike regular conditioners that you shouldn't apply to the scalp, this one is meant for scalp use too, leaving everything soft! The leave-in treatment is applied after towel-drying. On days I use Nioxin, I notice a bit more volume at the roots - not dramatically like a blowout, but my hair definitely doesn't lie as flat. I use it about 3 times a week, and I've noticed less hair fall when touching or washing my hair, and fewer strands on the floor! The only downside is the time it takes - you need to leave both the shampoo and conditioner on for a while. But that's not really a flaw in the product itself. It's okay, because if you want to see improvements, you have to put in some effort! Massage your scalp while the shampoo lather is still on, and do the same with the conditioner! They say it helps the good ingredients absorb better. The treatment is leave-in, but Nioxin 3's treatment is liquid, which can be a bit tricky to apply evenly. Nioxin 4's treatment comes out as a foam, making it much easier to apply. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 17, 2018
As someone with an extremely oily scalp, thin hair, and low hair density, I've been dealing with greasy hair even after daily washing. My hair has always been naturally fine and weak. On my hairstylist's recommendation, I've been using Nioxin products for two years now. I've definitely noticed less hair fall and slightly thicker strands. It's like my hair has gained some strength! While the change isn't dramatic, the flaky patches on my scalp have completely disappeared. It's crucial to use both the cleanser and conditioner together. When I lazily used just the cleanser, my hair felt stiff and my scalp became dry. When washing, you can feel the tingling sensation that indicates a deep cleanse of the scalp. For those with very sensitive scalps, the tingling sensation might be a bit intense. It's important to thoroughly wet your hair, apply the product, and carefully cleanse between the scalp folds. Leave it on for 1-2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Follow up with the conditioner, massaging it into the scalp, leave for 3 minutes, and rinse well. Without following these steps, the product won't be effective. This process can be time-consuming, especially on busy mornings. You need to be diligent about washing your hair thoroughly, which might not suit everyone. Also, the price is quite steep. At the salon, a 1000ml bottle costs $98, and if you're buying both the cleanser and conditioner, you're looking at $200. While the volume is generous, the price is hard to swallow. It's crucial to wash your hair meticulously. You must invest time and effort in washing and rinsing - never rush through it. After massaging the conditioner into your scalp, leave it on for 3 minutes. You can use this time to brush your teeth or do other tasks. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 24, 2018
Great for oily scalps! With regular shampoos, my hair gets greasy by afternoon, but with Nioxin, it stays fresh until evening. Plus, it eliminates scalp odor. The shampoo's scent is a bit funky, to be honest. But I've gotten used to it and now think of it as a refreshing smell! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 6, 2017
When my scalp gets itchy and I'm worried about blemishes popping up, using Nioxin shampoo gives me an incredibly clean feeling. It's so good that I can't use anything else now! Using it daily in winter might make your hair a bit dry. That's why I alternate between a regular hair shampoo one day and Nioxin the next. After working up a good lather, don't rinse it out right away. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes before washing it off. You'll feel a squeaky clean, fresh sensation that's truly invigorating.
