It's better than the velvet formula, but the initial moisturizing feel fades away quickly, and the longevity isn't great.

I almost used up my Dolce Vita and decided to repurchase it, but I noticed a different color and bought that instead. I'm always troubled by dry lips, so the satin formula feels much softer and better for me.
Compared to Dolce Vita, this one looks a bit more natural on me and makes my face look more radiant, like a my-lips-but-better kind of look.

These days, this is my favorite cosmetic item! You can apply it haphazardly and it still looks beautiful. It seems to have the slightest hint of pearl in a wine-like color. It's moisturizing and the color payoff is great.

I prefer a matte finish, so this isn't my go-to, but the product itself is okay.

I got two of this product from Sephora. I'd say the color is neutral so it doesn't really matter whether you have a cool or warm skin tone.

I received this product as a birthday gift from Sephora in the US.
It has a creamy texture and good application, with great color payoff. Before receiving it as a gift, I tried it on in the store and found that the fine shimmer particles clung to my lips and gave an slightly dated feel. But after trying it on at home, I found it to be beautifully feminine and pretty. It feels delicate and would make a great daily lipstick. Personally, I also enjoyed the plump, cushiony feel after application.

The durability was too poor, so I had to keep reapplying it, and it was used up quickly. The amount for the price seems a bit lacking. And if you use it wrong, it can look a bit painful or aged.

When I went to the US, I bought it based on the recommendation of an employee, and the term 'mlbb' seems to fit perfectly. It's the color of my lips, but a little prettier and better. I liked the natural color.

For those with naturally light lip color, the Rikkyo will provide the perfect MLBB effect just by applying it. But if you want a slightly more flushed lip look, you can dab a touch of a red-toned shade like Cruella in the center of your lips, and it will create a beautiful, natural-looking lip color.

To be honest, I actually prefer the texture of the NARS Velvet Lip Pencil over the Satin Lip Pencil. The velvety, smooth application and lack of shine amazed me when I tried Dolce Vita, but the Satin Lip Pencil feels a bit more glossy and shimmery. While NARS products don't have the intense gloss of a lip gloss, the velvety texture of the Velvet Lip Pencil is something I do miss a bit.
Although Shiseido has now acquired NARS, making it a fully Japanese-owned brand, among French products, there are quite a few with names that seem to be heavily influenced by Japonism. Conversely, Japanese products also often have French-sounding names. Anyway, Rikkyo (六義園) is also a name derived from a Japanese garden. NARS' naming sense always has an element of mystery to it.

This is the most ideal MLBB (My Lip But Better) for me. Many people consider Dolce Vita as their MLBB, but when I apply Dolce Vita to my lips, the brownish tone becomes too strong, making it more of an autumnal lip pencil. When I first encountered Rikkyo and saw the swatches online, I wondered why anyone would apply such a pale color to their lips, but my lip color is actually even lighter than that pale (!) shade. When I apply Rikkyo, the color payoff is just a slight flush of color compared to my natural lip tone, making it the perfect daily lip pencil.
I received the 2015 Sephora birthday gift set that included Rikkyo and Cruella, and I loved Rikkyo so much that I ended up purchasing the full-size product. Since I don't tend to do heavy makeup, I initially thought Cruella wouldn't get much use, but I found that if I apply a bit of lip balm or oil to my lips first, then layer Rikkyo on top and just dab Cruella in the center, it creates a slightly stronger flush of color on my lips.
