I bought this product as soon as I turned 20 during a Holika Holika sale, and it's become my holy grail mascara! True to its 'Transformer' name, you can use it in two ways - for volume or for long lashes! I think it's great value for money. It clumps less than other mascaras. I've tried many, but most have some clumping issues. This one, however, is wonderfully smooth without that problem. It feels a bit more fluid than other mascaras, which I actually prefer. Even if there's a tiny bit of clumping, it's easy to fix right away. The price is a tad high. However, I feel it's worth the cost, so I can justify purchasing it. At first, I was swayed by the Holika store assistant to buy it, but I've fallen in love and keep repurchasing. If you haven't found your go-to mascara yet, I think you won't regret trying this product. I really highly recommend it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 29, 2020
My eyes tend to get oily, causing most mascaras to smudge after a while. However, this product has excellent staying power without any smudging. It's fantastic that I can achieve both curling and lengthening effects with this mascara. It's definitely a winner! I can't really find any significant drawbacks... If I had to nitpick, I'd say the price is a bit on the higher side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2019
The adjustable brush shape makes it convenient to use for different purposes. When applied with the long lash brush, it goes on quite cleanly and curls well. I've been using it only with the long lash setting. It washes off easily when cleansing, and I hardly notice any smudging, so I'm really enjoying it! (The first photo shows the straight brush for long lashes, while the second photo shows the twisted brush for volume.) While the long lash setting is good, the volume setting clumps a lot and applies like spider legs... I recommend only the long lash setting. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 10, 2018
Super thick formula Clean application due to the rubber brush Able to change the brush style The brush is quite thick Smudges very easily Prone to clumping on natural lashes Best used on false lashes - ri********Combination SkinAcne SkinOct 18, 2017
My skin tends to be oily, so other mascaras always smudge. For a while, I only used eyeliner and skipped mascara, but my lashes looked too plain. I decided to try again and did some research. Holika Holika is known for their mascaras, and I heard this one had good ingredients, so I bought it. The wand is unique, and it curls and volumizes well. My lashes are short, but just a few swipes and they're instantly transformed! Using this mascara with my Shiseido eyelash curler keeps my lashes perky and defined, even after hours of wear. There's nothing bad to say! I'm curious to try others, but if they're not great, I'll definitely come back to this one! Nothing to add. Just curl your lashes and apply - it's that simple and easy! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2017
It's fascinating that there are two types of brushes, and the performance isn't bad at all. The biggest advantage is that it washes off well even when cleansing without eye makeup remover. At first, it didn't smudge, but as time went on, the smudging became unavoidable, unfortunately. - ml*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinDec 31, 2016
For someone like me who wanted neat lashes, it was just average. It smudges. The brush is not great... I don't recommend it. The mascara formula is a bit thin, so it doesn't hold the curl well either. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinJun 8, 2016
As a makeup novice, I'll stick to terms I'm familiar with rather than using fancy jargon. Here are the positives: 1. The brush is made of a rubber-like material, which I love. Unlike typical bristle brushes that often get clumpy and apply unevenly over time, this one performs better. While I haven't used it for long, I'm less worried about the brush hardening compared to other mascaras I've tried. 2. There's barely any fallout! I've only experienced black powder under my eyes once since using this. Honestly, that was probably because I tend to touch my face due to my baby hairs, and I might have rubbed my eyes too hard. Otherwise, it stays put no matter what I do. I'm not sure if this counts as a drawback, as I haven't used specialized removal products before. I tried to remove it with Holika Holika Pig Cleansing Sherbet, but it didn't work. Until I bought a proper eye makeup remover, I had to practically scrub it off with wet wipes. Of course, it comes off fairly easily with an actual eye makeup remover. The blunt tip makes it a bit tricky to use precisely, and the large brush can be awkward when applying to the lash line or inner corners. But overall, it's not bad. To be honest, as a makeup beginner, I'm just assuming these issues are due to my lack of experience. Try to open your eyes as wide as possible when applying. The brush seems longer than you might expect. I often end up getting mascara on my waterline and eyeball when I apply it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 7, 2016
This product is versatile, offering both curling and volume in one. The brush isn't stiff, allowing for easy movement. It was convenient to lift the entire eyebrow in one sweep. I'll likely repurchase it soon. The brush is a bit large for applying to the lower lashes, so you need to be careful when applying. I found it works best to curl each lash individually, then switch to volume mode to fill in between the lashes.
