Great value for money with a generous amount. It's lightweight and transparent, causing no irritation. Despite its essence-like texture, it always forms a film that pills and transfers, seeming unable to absorb. I'm not sure if it just doesn't suit my skin, but I constantly found myself wondering why it behaved this way while using it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 7, 2019
First off, when you think of an eye cream, you'd expect a small amount in a thick cream form. But Santa Maria Novella's eye cream has a runny, mucus-like texture! Plus, it comes in a much larger quantity compared to other eye creams. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. The disappointing aspects are that despite the large quantity, it has an extremely short shelf life. I'm also unsure about its effectiveness considering the price. When I apply it, my eye area feels even drier, and it tends to pill when used with other skincare products. And I had no idea the ingredients would be this problematic... To use it up before it expires, I've been applying it to my neck and smile lines as well... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinJul 15, 2018
It does apply lightly when you put it on. That's about the only positive thing I can say. When I apply it in the morning, it keeps pilling. It flakes off like dead skin cells. I wanted a light eye cream, but I can't really recommend this one. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2018
It provides a nice cooling effect and definitely reduces oiliness. It's probably great for those with oily skin who don't worry about dryness. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I can really feel the moisture evaporating. Also, if you don't let it absorb well, it tends to pill frequently. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2017
It absorbs quickly because it is watery. It has a cooling effect, so it feels tightening. Even if you apply a solid base makeup, it will still cake during the day. And even if you carefully apply the base at night, it will still cake... So I don't mind if it cakes at night, so I only apply it at night. The cooling effect seems to be because the formulation contains denatured alcohol, which helps water evaporate and makes the skin dry. So for dry-skinned people, this product might not be a good choice. I also bought it during my trip to Italy because it was relatively cheap, but I have no intention of repurchasing it. The volume is large, but the expiration date is short, so I apply it to my entire face and décolleté. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2016
The texture is nice and spreadable, and the absorption is smooth, leaving a taut feeling. I didn't used to apply eye cream, but as I've gotten older, I feel it's better to apply something rather than nothing, so I've been using this. Compared to other eye creams, this one has a larger quantity and a taut feel, so while it may not dramatically reduce wrinkles, I'm hoping it at least prevents new ones from forming. The fragrance is a bit irritating. And it's also difficult to purchase. And like other functional cosmetics, I haven't noticed any significant changes yet. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 30, 2016
The fact that the amount is greater than other eye creams is a good thing. When I apply it, it completely slides off, so I only use it at night. And the fragrance is too strong, so I have no intention to repurchase.
