I bought this on a whim during my trip, enchanted by the local salesperson's pitch. The vacation was amazing! I usually never buy cosmetics without checking Hwahae first, but I let my guard down for a moment and fell for it. I naively believed the name 'Horse Oil 100' meant it was 100% pure horse oil. My mistake... I don't blame anyone but myself. After returning home, I casually checked Hwahae and was shocked! Nine harmful ingredients?! I'm someone who won't even buy products with three harmful ingredients (I absolutely avoid phenoxyethanol, parabens, and PEG), but this has nine! I'm stunned and deeply grateful to the person who uploaded this product info on Hwahae. Let me tell you about this product... Just one application and you'll definitely feel its presence. I applied it once, and my previously fine skin has been rough, breaking out, and excessively peeling for days. Trying not to waste it, I applied it on my back (the salesperson said it was great for back acne, and though I don't have any, I thought I'd try it preventatively). I forgot about it until my back became unbearably itchy, and when I scratched, I found large inflammatory acne had appeared. I've never had back acne before... They actually gave me back acne... If you just want to capture the vacation mood, go ahead and buy it, but absolutely don't apply it! Only recommended for those who can coolly laugh it off as a contribution to Jeju's economy! I basically donated $50! By the way, if you want 100% horse oil, buy it on Coupang instead. (It's cheaper and has better ingredients. For reference, I'm still recovering from the after-effects, so I've decided not to buy any horse oil products for a while.) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 21, 2021
I've used many horse oil creams before, but I was surprised by how well this one absorbed. I had to check Hwahae to see what was going on! I was pressured into buying this at a tourist spot in Jeju. I thought it was 100% horse oil because of the number in the name... but it's not even close. I had no idea it contained parabens! I paid a fortune for this, and now it's going straight in the trash. Don't be fooled by how well it absorbs. This is not a genuine horse oil cream. - rl*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsOct 22, 2020
It's not sticky at all. It's very hydrating and applies smoothly. Perfect for use in fall and winter. It feels very greasy with a lot of oil. My aunt bought it saying it's good for atopic dermatitis, but oh no! It's actually not good for atopic skin. It doesn't help skin conditions; if anything, it makes them worse. Those with super sensitive skin should absolutely avoid this. It has an oily, waxy smell - the fragrance is not pleasant at all. I just learned today that the ingredients are not good. With 9 ingredients to be cautious of, claims about it being good for your skin are just lies. My aunt regrets buying it too, believing it would be good for atopic skin. My skin condition became serious after using this. Instead of this, use that money to find products with better ingredients. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 12, 2017
The feel of use is extremely good. The spreadability and moisturizing quality are great. It's too oily for oily skin. The price has been raised unreasonably high. And the ingredients are not great. It seems there are some products sold in Jeju Island that scam tourists, and they were even selling it as a skin medication, but the ingredients are not good. My mother bought it during her trip to Jeju Island, and it was around 40,000 won. The feel of use is so good that I wanted to repurchase it, but at this price, it's better to just use department store cosmetics.
