The texture feels smooth and pleasant when applying. It has a nice scent and spreads evenly. It's gentle and non-irritating on the skin. It's on the pricier side, but I didn't notice any significant changes like softer or brighter skin after sleeping with it on. It just feels nice during application, but that's about it.

I've included a photo of the product I received as a gratis gift. The volume is small and it's quite expensive. I suppose good things come at a price, don't they?

However, this feels like a non-sticky hydrating cream! It's perfect for use in all four seasons without any burden. When I apply it before bed, my makeup goes on smoothly the next day. On days when I'm outdoors for long periods, it seems to have a soothing effect on my skin too! I recommend applying it lightly after thoroughly using your toner and emulsion. The Shiseido White Lucent line is highly recommended! I've been using this for two years, and as someone with extremely dry skin, I haven't found any downsides. This product is suitable for use on blemish-prone skin without causing issues. I've had experiences where other whitening products aggravated my blemishes, but while using this one, I didn't notice any worsening of my skin condition. I've been using this product line from toner to essence, eye cream, emulsion, and cream since last year. When I first started using it, my face definitely became a bit brighter. After using it for over 3 months, my complexion improved by about half a shade. After a few weeks of use, my face looked more radiant. People around me even commented, saying things like 'Your face looks so bright these days!' and 'Your skin must be improving!' I'm sure my skin type was listed as combination on the Hwahae app, but after using this product, my skin became oily... As I continued using it, my skin got oilier and it seemed to clog my pores - the oil production was no joke. After using this product for more than 3 weeks, while my face did become brighter, I started getting small bumps and 1-2 small pimples every 2-3 days. I'd rather keep my natural skin tone and have clear skin... I really regret spending money on this, and I threw everything away except the eye cream. - co******Combination SkinMar 18, 2017
The packaging is pretty. The scent is pleasant and inoffensive. Overall, it seems like a decent, reliable product. The price is a concern. It absorbs really well into the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. The scent is also quite pleasant. I'm not sure about its whitening effects. As someone with dry skin, I find it's not quite enough as a moisturizer on its own. When I use it alone at night, I wake up feeling quite dry deep down. I have dry skin, and I love the way this absorbs and how it feels on my skin - both in terms of hydration and richness. It gives me a sense of skin stability. While it absorbs quickly and doesn't last until the next morning, with consistent use I've noticed my complexion becoming brighter, which is great! It might not be enough for those with extremely dry skin. You may want to use it with an oil or apply it more frequently for better results. I've been applying it liberally not just at night before bed, but also whenever my skin feels dry. As a consumer who switches up my skincare routine every 6 months, I have both sensitive and combination skin, and I typically only use products sold at dermatology clinics. This winter, my skin became extremely dry, so I went for a treatment, but after skipping just 2-3 days, the tingling sensation returned. I was considering changing my skincare products when I remembered I had a sample of this product. After trying it, I could really feel my skin calming down the very next day. I immediately went to the department store to purchase it, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. The price is quite steep for the amount you get. While its hydration properties are excellent, the entire line is on the expensive side. If you've bought the essence, I'd recommend pairing it with a gentle cream from a different, more affordable line. It seems that for the best skin improvement results, you should apply either the essence or emulsion from this line along with the cream. Personally, I use the essence (spot corrector) in combination with it. 
Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDec 18, 2016It has a pudding-like softness and absorbs well into the skin. The fragrance is absolutely delightful. I didn't really find any drawbacks. If I had to mention something, it's that I use quite a bit due to my dry skin, so it runs out rather quickly.
