I've been using Shiseido for over 20 years, and I think it's an amazing product that really suits my skin! As for downsides... I can't really think of any! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 13, 2019
Great for hydration. Excellent as an emulsion step for very dry skin. Of course, a moisturizer afterwards is still essential. There's definitely a noticeable brightening effect. It doesn't cause any blemishes. The price is the main issue. It's a small amount for such a steep price. Also, it's disappointing that there are no standout features. The ingredients aren't particularly impressive, which is a letdown. Make sure to patch test before use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJun 30, 2019
Shiseido's whitening series is a product that speaks for itself. The brightening effects and non-sticky texture are simply unparalleled. Despite the high price, I use Shiseido for everything - toner, emulsion, essence, eye cream, sunscreen, and cushion foundation. The only downside is the steep price, which makes me use it sparingly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 26, 2018
It didn't cause any blemishes and had a pleasant scent, so I used it without any issues. It was too expensive for the amount you get and I went through it quickly. Also, it was quite drying for winter use and the texture was too thin. If you have dry skin, you might need to add more steps to your skincare routine or consider using a different product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 6, 2018
It seems to brighten my complexion more than other products I've tried. Plus, it's lightweight, which made it perfect for summer use. I received it as a gift, so I didn't know, but when I looked it up, I found out it was quite expensive. While its lightweight texture was great for summer, it's too drying for dry or normal skin types to use in winter. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinDec 31, 2017
As someone with acne-prone sensitive skin, I keep repurchasing this product because it doesn't cause blemishes and gives me a moisturized feeling. I really hope it never gets reformulated so I can continue using it indefinitely. Being a Shiseido product, it's not exactly cheap. In winter, I find myself applying it twice, which means I have to buy it more frequently. - co******Combination SkinMar 18, 2017
The packaging is pretty. It's just okay, nothing special. I'm not sure what's good about it considering the price. It's just mediocre. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 5, 2016
The way it absorbs, hydration, and most importantly, the brightening effect were excellent. After applying, you can feel your skin becoming more translucent the next day. The price is on the higher side. When applied with an infuser, it feels slightly sticky, but considering its brightening function, it's not bothersome enough to be a concern. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 26, 2016
I started using this again after the renewal, and it's great for moisturizing around the eyes. It doesn't cause any blemishes and works well overall. I've been feeling uneasy about it since the radiation incident. I wish it wasn't manufactured in Japan... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 23, 2016
I've been consistently using Shiseido's brightening line, and this newly revamped version feels even more hydrating and absorbs better than before. I absolutely love how it sinks into my skin! Compared to other cosmetics, it's a bit on the pricey side. The amount you get seems rather small considering the cost.
