I bought the same product in a different color, and I like that the color isn't too intense since it's a lip balm. Of course, if you apply it multiple times, the color becomes a bit more vibrant. That's why I think it's great for students to use casually at school and other places! I'm not sure if it's because it's a lip balm, but it feels like it sits on top of the lips, similar to applying Vaseline. Also, while it gets a bit better after some time, it tends to transfer a little right after application. - qu********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessJul 29, 2020
I like that it has a subtle color and feels moisturizing right after application. It's not worth buying at full price. The amount is really small. Being a lip care product, it runs out quickly. Purchased during a sale - yy*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 8, 2019
It's the same product, just in a different color. The design is pretty and the color is lovely. It applies with a moisturizing feel. It's great for a natural look, light makeup, or when you're just stepping out for a quick errand. Perfect for a simple application. Being a lip balm, the color tends to sit on top of the lips rather than blend in seamlessly. It's suitable as a finishing touch after full makeup on important days, but might be a bit much for standalone use. As someone who doesn't prefer products with added fragrances, that aspect is a bit disappointing for me, though it's unavoidable. The triangular design is unique and pretty, but you need to pay attention to the angle when closing the cap. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinMay 8, 2017
This review is for the Say It color, not Pepper. While Pepper seemed to be the most popular shade in the Veve color lip balm range, I thought it wouldn't suit me, so I chose the more versatile-looking Say It. To cut to the chase, I'm extremely satisfied with it and using it regularly. True to its lip balm nature, it applies smoothly and quickly eliminates dead skin cells (I didn't expect 3CE, a brand I associated mainly with color focus, to excel in functionality too!). The color is a nicely toned-down cherry red that looks natural with a bare-faced makeup look. It's a shade that likely won't be polarizing. For reference, I have a deep undertone. While the unique case design is pretty, you need to align it at a certain angle when closing, rather than just snapping it shut. It's easy to use generously, but given the small amount, it's not exactly cheap. Also, being a tinted lip balm rather than a lipstick, it wears off very easily. You'll need to reapply frequently! The deal-breaker for me is the ingredients list (I understand the need for certain ingredients to create the color, but I had to deduct a star because of the formulation). - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 30, 2016
I tried it out in person. It's not bad at all. Perfect for a light application. You'll regret it 100% if you buy based on the color alone. It changes depending on your natural lip color. - wl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 22, 2016
This is my holy grail product! I'm about to start my third tube. I'm currently using the 'Say It' shade. I struggle with dead skin cells on my lips year-round, and even though I've tried various moisturizing lipsticks and lip glosses, they still left me with unsightly flakes. I discovered this gem while browsing on Hwahae. Unlike other lip products that would make my lips look messy shortly after application, this one kept my lips flake-free all day long! I personally prefer subtle shades, so the soft cherry red color is absolutely perfect for me. It's easy to apply, reasonably priced, and I plan to keep using it for a long time to come. The triangular shape takes some getting used to when closing the cap, so you need to pay a bit of attention. Also, because it's so hydrating, it does tend to wear off more easily. - kd********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 15, 2016
While it doesn't apply with intense pigmentation, the color itself is on the slightly darker side. It's like a dried rose shade with a bit more brown added to it. I think it would look great if you apply a little pink or red tint first, then layer this on top. When wearing it alone, it looks pretty if you put on a bit of makeup first. For a tinted lip balm, I was surprised by how long-lasting the moisture is! The Bebe Color lip balms come in various shades, making it fun to choose, and this particular color is unique, making it a worthy addition to your collection! The texture is quite soft, so make sure to push the product all the way down before closing the cap. I accidentally closed it with some product still raised, and it got all smashed and stuck to the cap. Not recommended for bare-faced looks (the color stands out too much). Emphasize your eye makeup and skip the blush (having all three - eyes, blush, and lips - emphasized can look overdone). Just apply a little of this alone, and you've got a stylish makeup look complete! It really makes your lips stand out.
