It's just as good as the cream. It feels like they've solidified the Eight Hour Cream into a lip balm form. The hydration lasts long, and there's no irritation, so I bought another one to use as an eye cream substitute around my eyes. It's not an overly glossy type, nor does it apply in a thick layer. That's why I find myself reaching for it more often. No matter how good the hydration is, if something applies too thickly, I oddly tend to avoid using it due to the uncomfortable feeling. In winter, when the eye area easily dries out while I'm outside, it moisturizes the eye area without getting my hands dirty. It might sound strange to apply lip balm around the eyes, but I think everything in the Eight Hour line is great without exception. It also contains sun protection ingredients, so I apply it around the lips too. I figure it's good to protect areas prone to wrinkles, like around the eyes and outside the lips, from sunlight. The scent is similar to the Eight Hour Cream.
ConsThe price might be a drawback, but you can get it cheaper when there's a duty-free sale.

Keeps lips moisturized. Perfect for when you want to hydrate your lips with a fresh feel. - The texture is on the firmer side, so it's less likely to smudge compared to regular chapsticks or lip balms. I've never experienced any clumping or residue while applying. - Not too heavy for outdoor use, so I keep it in my bag for on-the-go application.
Cons- Not recommended for those seeking intense, heavy-duty moisturization. - It's not unscented. However, it's not minty either, and I can't quite put my finger on the fragrance. This might not be helpful, but as someone who dislikes MAC lipstick scents, this one isn't unbearable. Still, I wouldn't say I love it. - I wish it were a bit more affordable. - I was surprised when I looked at the ingredients list.

It's pretty decent! It's not excessively chalky. As I have dry skin, I often apply this transparent lip product around my eyes and nasolabial folds. It's great because it doesn't make my skin look too greasy. Since I usually only wear sunscreen and lip products, this is perfect for dabbing around my eyes and mouth whenever my skin feels dry at work.
ConsAs a lip moisturizer, it seems to lack in exfoliation and hydration power.
TipIt runs out faster than you might expect. The tip is to not be stingy with it - apply it frequently and generously.

It's absolutely fantastic. This is easily in my top 3 lip balms I've ever used (probably 1st or 2nd place). I don't like greasy lip balms and prefer ones that apply lightly - this one is perfect. While it's lightweight, it prevents dead skin cells on my lips for a long time after application.
ConsThe price is on the higher side. (However, when you compare it to other products and factor in the quantity, you'll find there are quite a few in this price range.)

The lipstick-style packaging makes it easy to apply, and it goes on smoothly without feeling greasy. The hydration is really excellent too. I've used it down to the very bottom (as you can see in the photo) - that's how much I adore this lip balm!
ConsI definitely want to keep using this product. If I had to point out one drawback, I'd say it's the price.
TipThe lipstick format makes it convenient to carry around. Since it's a solid lip balm, you can apply a thin layer just before your lip makeup and then add color on top for a moisturizing effect that keeps your lips hydrated.

I also tend to get a lot of dead skin cells. Among all the products I've tried so far, this one has the best staying power. When I apply it generously before bed, I wake up with slightly oily but less flaky lips. That's why I slather it on every night!
ConsWhile it's really good, if you have oily skin, you might not like it due to its rich texture. Also, I personally don't care for the scent of this lip product... But everyone has different preferences, and some people might not be bothered by the smell!
TipWhen you apply it generously before bed, you wake up with super hydrated lips - it's great!

It doesn't have that sticky or greasy feeling typical of hydrating balms.
ConsIt has that distinctive 8-hour scent (which can be polarizing), and I think it's a bit pricey for the amount you get.
TipIf you slather it on generously before bed, you'll wake up with beautifully hydrated lips.
