It's not just a light moisturizer, but it feels like it locks in deep hydration, which I find very satisfying.
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad, but if I had to choose something, I'd say it's best suited for nighttime use, at least for me. While this could be seen as an advantage, it's not exactly lightweight.

I had no idea it was discontinued.
ConsThe ingredients are a bit disappointing. I wish they could improve them, but then again, that might change how it absorbs or feels on the skin, wouldn't it?

The scent is lovely too. I'll definitely be stocking up on this!
ConsIt's a bit on the pricey side. The packaging design isn't very attractive. When you twist it up, the balm hits the inside of the case and crumbles.

When your skin feels dry, apply it and you'll notice an improvement by the next day.
ConsIt tends to break easily in summer, and sometimes the bottom part comes off, not just the lid.

The texture isn't too thick and it absorbs well into the skin.
ConsThe strong scent caught me off guard at first. It took some time to get used to, but because it hydrates so well, I always use this product during winter months.
TipI'm not quite sure.

It's just as good as the cream. It feels like they've solidified the Eight Hour Cream into a lip balm form. The hydration lasts long, and there's no irritation, so I bought another one to use as an eye cream substitute around my eyes. It's not an overly glossy type, nor does it apply in a thick layer. That's why I find myself reaching for it more often. No matter how good the hydration is, if something applies too thickly, I oddly tend to avoid using it due to the uncomfortable feeling. In winter, when the eye area easily dries out while I'm outside, it moisturizes the eye area without getting my hands dirty. It might sound strange to apply lip balm around the eyes, but I think everything in the Eight Hour line is great without exception. It also contains sun protection ingredients, so I apply it around the lips too. I figure it's good to protect areas prone to wrinkles, like around the eyes and outside the lips, from sunlight. The scent is similar to the Eight Hour Cream.
ConsThe price might be a drawback, but you can get it cheaper when there's a duty-free sale.

Keeps lips moisturized. Perfect for when you want to hydrate your lips with a fresh feel. - The texture is on the firmer side, so it's less likely to smudge compared to regular chapsticks or lip balms. I've never experienced any clumping or residue while applying. - Not too heavy for outdoor use, so I keep it in my bag for on-the-go application.
Cons- Not recommended for those seeking intense, heavy-duty moisturization. - It's not unscented. However, it's not minty either, and I can't quite put my finger on the fragrance. This might not be helpful, but as someone who dislikes MAC lipstick scents, this one isn't unbearable. Still, I wouldn't say I love it. - I wish it were a bit more affordable. - I was surprised when I looked at the ingredients list.

It's a bit oily and has a distinct scent, but it worked well for my dry lips.
ConsUnfortunately, the moisturizing effect didn't last as long as I'd hoped. And the price?

Instead, it moisturizes and coats your lips with a comforting hydration. As someone with lips that frequently crack in all seasons, making lip balm a must-have, I'm quite picky. However, I'm truly satisfied with how well this keeps my lips hydrated.
ConsWhile I didn't find it particularly uncomfortable, it does have that distinctive Eight Hour Cream scent. Also, please note that it contains several ingredients to be cautious about, so those with super sensitive skin should definitely keep this in mind.
TipYou can apply it generously without feeling overwhelmed.

But after using this lip balm, which a friend happened to gift me, I feel it's the most effective among all the lip balms I've used so far. After cleansing and applying my skincare products, I finish with this as the last step, and even when I wake up, my lips aren't dry.
ConsThe design isn't particularly attractive. However, since I use it at home after my skincare routine, it doesn't really matter.
TipI highly recommend this lip balm because it has a smooth, hydrating texture that's not sticky. It prevents dead skin cells from showing even when you apply lipstick or tint on top!
