I've never found a cushion foundation as good as this one! The compact is much flatter than regular cushions, making it even more portable. The adherence is fantastic. With its powdery finish, it's perfect for my normal skin that doesn't particularly feel dry. It's truly the ideal cushion for summer wear. The only downside is that it's been discontinued... Please bring it back! I'm so reluctant to throw away the cushion that I've been holding onto the empty case for ages, unable to part with it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 4, 2019
This was my absolute favorite cushion for summer! It controlled oil so well and gave me a flawless complexion without even needing powder. I'm devastated it's been discontinued. I relied on this product all summer long! With summer approaching, I went to Etude House to stock up, but I couldn't find this product anywhere. When I asked, they told me it's been discontinued. My heart sank - this was my go-to summer cushion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 2, 2019
Absorbs instantly without any stickiness. The color blends seamlessly with your skin tone for a natural look. Decent adherence to the skin. One application isn't enough for full blemish coverage. Longevity is moderate - you'll need to touch up once during the day as it starts to fade. For best results, start with a thorough base makeup. Lightly apply concealer or foundation for skin correction, then gently pat this product on top. You'll achieve a smooth, egg-shell-like complexion. With one mid-day touch-up, you can maintain flawless skin all day long. Note: This review is from spring, so I haven't tested its performance against summer's waterfall-like sweat yet. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 26, 2019
I've never been one for cushions or foundations, sticking to just The Face Shop's Magic Base. But one morning, running late, I hastily patted on this cushion. To my surprise, I received so many compliments on my skin that day! I ended up using only this product for a month after that! My skin type: I have fair skin prone to redness, with occasional blemishes. I have dry skin but prefer a matte finish. While most of my face is fine, I often struggle with dead skin cells around my nose. Portability: It's so slim and easy to carry! Fits perfectly in pockets, bags, or makeup pouches - super convenient! Staying power: While I'm not an expert on longevity, I think it's pretty good. Once, I applied it at 8 AM and it was still there at 10 AM the next day when I was at the airport. Price: My mom bought it on a buy-one-get-one-free deal, making it even more affordable. But even at full price, I don't think it's expensive. I was worried the thin compact meant less product, but there's surprisingly a lot. I'm still using the one my mom started, and there's plenty left. It's hard for me to gauge if it's a lot or not since this is my first cushion (and I don't use them often). Cons: While it's not exactly a 'best bang for your buck' product, it's not overpriced either. The amount seems just right, maybe slightly on the lower side. Since I have dry skin, it felt a bit drying outside of summer. I haven't used it since November, but that's more about my skin type. Also, when my skin is oily, it tends to emphasize the shine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 31, 2018
I found this cushion while decluttering and decided to write a review. I rushed out to buy it as soon as it was released, drawn in by the promise of a matte finish. Etude House, as always, didn't disappoint. Even though I had applied a bit more skincare than usual that day, it quickly set to a velvety finish. I was out and about, even sweating a bit, but the makeup didn't break down significantly. When it did fade, it did so gracefully, which I was very pleased with. The coverage was medium to high - it concealed shallow acne scars well, though deeper marks needed additional concealer. There weren't many downsides, but if I had to nitpick, I'd say the thick consistency means you need to blend it quickly. I'm used to dotting product on my face before blending, but when I tried that with this cushion, it set so fast I couldn't blend it out properly. That's a minor drawback if anything. I recommend applying and blending as quickly as possible. If you have very dry skin, you might want to skip this one altogether or make sure your skin is well-hydrated before application. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 21, 2018
It leaves the skin feeling powdery soft, and even when you apply color makeup on top, it reduces smudging. For skin that becomes dry in winter, it can increase dryness and tend to clump together. Use after sufficient moisturizing and allowing your base skincare to absorb fully. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 13, 2018
The color is perfect for me! The design is beautiful, and I love how thin and portable it is. It doesn't seem to apply evenly, unfortunately. On my dry skin, it tends to flake quite a bit. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 6, 2018
It's truly matte and incredibly powdery. It definitely lives up to its name, haha! The product itself is clean and comes in a generous amount. Above all, I loved how slim and lightweight the compact is. You know how other compacts have the same amount of product but in a bulky case? Not this one! It's great for touch-ups when your skin gets oily. I also appreciated the no-pink shade, which is quite unlike Etude House's usual offerings. The pore and blemish coverage could be better. It feels a bit dry and stiff when applying. It's light to carry around and great for controlling oil when it starts to show up. Just be careful using it when your skin is dry - you might see the Sahara Desert on your face! Best to use only on oily areas. - hi******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 8, 2018
As someone with an oil slick for skin, here's what I loved about this cushion: 1. Great coverage Hides blemishes well, and larger pimples can be concealed with patches! 2. Matte finish The main reason I bought it 3. Makes skin look good Even I can see the improvement (blushing) 4. Generous amount Bought it last November, still using it almost a year later, Lost count of how many cushion puffs I've gone through! 5. Cushion case held up perfectly for a year I'm not particularly careful, so they must have made it pretty sturdy! Bottom line: Perfect for oily skin My skin produces enough oil to qualify for the national team, I use 4 large oil blotting sheets a day, sparingly. Even with this cushion, oil still comes through It only seems to control sebum when first applied? The more I use blotting papers, the more my makeup comes off Layering with Innisfree No Sebum Powder felt too heavy and difficult to use. So I was disappointed that the staying power wasn't great. I was looking for a long-lasting cushion, so I deducted 2 stars! No other major downsides, but Since it's thick and there's a lot of product, you need to control the amount well If you accidentally apply too much at once, it's hard to blend out So be careful with that! I really don't recommend this for non-oily skin types! As someone with dehydrated oily skin, if I don't prep my skin well, This cushion is so thick it can peel and separate on my nose area Make sure to do thorough skincare prep! When touching up, no matter how oily you are, apply the cushion first Then gently blot with oil paper - it won't separate and touch-ups go smoothly Personally, I found pressing it in firmly when applying gave better adherence! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 21, 2018
The skin finish is incredible, and the color payoff is amazing. The ingredients are also great for a base product. I've never experienced any blemishes from it. This is the only base product I need! I don't really have any complaints. It's fantastic! If I had to pick one thing, I'd say it works better with a beauty blender than the included puff. Everyone, please try dampening your beauty blender, squeezing out the excess water, and applying the product. It goes on incredibly thin with amazing adherence and skin finish!
