As someone with extremely oily skin in summer, I usually keep my skincare routine light before going out. Even with foundation and powder, my base would typically break down due to sweat and oil by the time I leave. This product, however, is incredibly matte. It's a bit challenging to apply and feels dry at first, but once you start sweating and producing some oil, your skin actually looks better than when you first applied it. In other words, you don't need touch-ups. The foundation doesn't break down or separate in a messy way - it actually looks more polished as time goes on. For those who don't like touch-ups or have extremely oily skin that gets sweaty, this product is a game-changer. It's matte, offers good coverage, and doesn't transfer. It's truly excellent! While it gives you that 'glass skin' look when you start sweating and producing oil, the initial application can be tricky and might look a bit messy. It's also somewhat difficult to apply, so controlling the amount is crucial. Use a brush or your fingers to dab it on your face, then use a cushion to spread it very thinly with light tapping motions. However, since I can't find a good alternative to this, I just use sunscreen in the summer... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 21, 2018
I've been using this for about two months now, and it's truly amazing for my super oily skin. It's definitely the ultimate matte, powder-like product, so it could be a game-changer for those with oily skin types! Staying power - It seems to hold up well. Even 4 hours after applying it at lunchtime, it doesn't break down much. Moisture - There's absolutely no feeling of hydration when you apply it. It feels powder-like right from the start. Coverage - It covers small blood vessels on the face, but it's a bit lacking when it comes to blemishes. Still, it provides decent coverage overall. If you don't do your skincare routine properly, you might as well not show your face that day! The product is the epitome of matte, so it seems to have almost no moisture in it. I apply sunscreen first, then the cushion foundation. On days when my skin feels a bit oilier, I finish off with some oil-absorbing powder. This helps create an even cleaner, more powder-like, and matte complexion. It's fantastic! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 18, 2018
It's incredibly matte! Personally, I prefer cushions with a powdery finish, so this is quite nice... It's so matte that unless you have very oily skin, you might want to think twice before using it - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 11, 2018
Great coverage and a semi-matte finish that feels powdery soft. I don't need to use a separate powder, which saves me money. It's really nice! It transfers way too much. This is really excessive. Of course, no foundation, cushion, or BB cream is completely transfer-proof, but this one is just too much. I touched my face once after applying it, and it came off all over my hand. Even after setting with powder, it still transfers significantly. I'm giving it 2 points only because of its good coverage and powdery finish. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 27, 2018
What I really liked was how it seemed to be designed for a super matte, powder-fresh finish. When applied, it gives that perfect velvety feel... It's refreshing, and if you leave it for a bit, you get this cool, powder-soft sensation that's just lovely. I'm wondering if I'm the only one who feels this way, despite the generally positive reviews... It breaks down horribly, and I mean horribly. I'm the type to switch products quickly when I get bored, so I've tried many cushions, but this might be the worst of them all. Even though I have super oily skin without any deep dryness, if I slack on skincare even a little bit, it emphasizes dead skin cells like crazy! When I first used it, my flakes were so visible that I had to wash my face again. After being more thorough with my skincare routine, it improved slightly, but I was disappointed by how quickly it deteriorated on my skin. Conclusion: Not impressed --------- Coverage: ★★★☆☆ Longevity: ★☆☆☆☆ Application: ★★☆☆☆ Color match (No. 23): ★★☆☆☆ Amount: ★☆☆☆☆ --------- This is my personal assessment. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinDec 4, 2017
The longevity and pore coverage are so good when using this that I've used up 3 refills, but to be honest, it's really bad in the winter and only usable in the summer. Compared to matte products, the coverage is a bit lacking. It's recommended for dry skin only in spring and summer, and there's almost no transfer. A ton of closed comedones popped up, and when using it in the winter, my face gets very puffy. Compared to matte products, the coverage also seems lower. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 24, 2017
I'm intelligent, but it was nice and soft. It was really nice, um, yes. There were too many troubles. There were troubles that had never happened before, and people were like, 'Why is she like that?' Um, no. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 19, 2017
The finish is matte. Other than that, it doesn't seem to have any particular advantages. The built-in puff is not great. It was a bit drying for my dry skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 17, 2017
This product is great for intellectuals to use in the summer. The coverage is good and it's matte, making it a great cushion for intellectuals! I highly recommend it for intellectuals to use in the summer!! The amount is too little... The Etude House cushion seems to have a relatively small amount, but I've already used it up even though I haven't used it much.. I recommend that intellectuals use this more in the summer than in the winter! In the winter, your skin may be a bit different. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 21, 2017
I have an extremely dry skin type, but it's actually very matte. It's so matte that I don't even need to use powder to mattify it. So I'd like to recommend this to those of you who are looking for a matte finish. The cushion foundation was a disappointment, as I expected. But I'm not sure if it's just me, the darkening is just too severe. It's so bad that I can only use it as a mirror now. It starts off fine, but after a few hours, the condition of my skin is... I can't even describe it. This is just my subjective opinion, but if you have an extremely dry skin type like me, you might want to consider this carefully as the darkening is beyond imagination.
