As someone with extremely oily skin, I found this cushion foundation leaves my skin with a matte finish while providing decent coverage. The slim case is a bonus - it doesn't take up much space in my makeup bag. Due to my very oily skin, the foundation tends to break down and slide off after a while. I'd recommend this for people with moderately oily skin who already have a good complexion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 15, 2018
As someone with oily skin, I loved how it really kept the greasiness in check! I enjoyed the powdery finish, which made it a go-to for me. However, the way it broke down wasn't pretty at all. Since I wear glasses, I noticed the foundation clumping right below where my glasses touch my nose. It seemed to make my skin even oilier, perhaps because it was too drying. This would work really well for oily skin types during summer. Also, keep in mind that the shade runs dark, so I'd recommend going one shade lighter when you purchase! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 27, 2018
What I really liked was how it seemed to be designed for a super matte, powder-fresh finish. When applied, it gives that perfect velvety feel... It's refreshing, and if you leave it for a bit, you get this cool, powder-soft sensation that's just lovely. I'm wondering if I'm the only one who feels this way, despite the generally positive reviews... It breaks down horribly, and I mean horribly. I'm the type to switch products quickly when I get bored, so I've tried many cushions, but this might be the worst of them all. Even though I have super oily skin without any deep dryness, if I slack on skincare even a little bit, it emphasizes dead skin cells like crazy! When I first used it, my flakes were so visible that I had to wash my face again. After being more thorough with my skincare routine, it improved slightly, but I was disappointed by how quickly it deteriorated on my skin. Conclusion: Not impressed --------- Coverage: ★★★☆☆ Longevity: ★☆☆☆☆ Application: ★★☆☆☆ Color match (No. 23): ★★☆☆☆ Amount: ★☆☆☆☆ --------- This is my personal assessment. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 27, 2018
It feels light and looks incredibly natural when applied. The compact is thinner than regular cushions, making it convenient to carry around. It seems to easily separate and break down on the skin, and the coverage appears to be quite low. It would be best to apply a solid base makeup before using this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 2, 2017
The coverage is great, and the skin is finished with a fluffy, soft texture as the name suggests, which is an enormous advantage. However, the area around the nose becomes messy over time, and it tends to shift slightly when reapplying makeup, which is a downside. I hesitate to call it a tip, but I applied a moisturizing type of base once in a thin layer, and then I applied the real powder cushion thinly on top of that. That way, the inside is moisturized, and the outside is fluffy and soft, which I found to be even better. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2017
As soon as I started using it, my skin expression became so beautiful. It's matte but not too tight, and the coverage was better than expected. It breaks down quickly, and the breakdown doesn't look nice. When the oil comes up, it's ruined. Touch-ups don't work well, and it comes off easily. Before using, it's recommended to apply a moisturizer, or those with dry skin should avoid it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 10, 2017
It seals the oil well, the cushion is thin and comfortable, the color is natural, and the coverage is not bad. It crumbles... What's wrong with this?? The foundation clogs the pores, so the foundation inside crumbles. Correction? This cushion is not suitable for that. It's not even pretty when you first apply it. I'm going to break up with Etude House~~~ Just don't use it >_< - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 1, 2017
It is fluffy enough that you don't need to apply powder separately. The coverage was also quite good. When it broke down, there was some pore clogging around the nose area, which was not great. If you cover the oily areas well, it can be quite a good value for the money. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 1, 2017
The coverage is amazing and it's a really great foundation for oily skin. If you apply it with a damp sponge, it doesn't get cakey and blends in well. Personally, I really don't like the built-in puff. The Etude House air puff itself seems to be just so-so. The longevity seems to depend on the skin condition - some days it lasts really well and cleanly, other days it emphasizes texture and breaks down terribly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 13, 2017
I went to Etude to buy a blush and tried the sample. At first, I was surprised when I applied it. It made my skin look porcelain-like and fluffy. When I lightly touched it, there was almost no transfer. Hmm.. I applied it in the morning and around 12 PM, I was shocked when I looked at my chin and cheeks. The pores around my nose and cheeks became clumpy and looked really messy. I really care about the longevity and how makeup holds up, and while the longevity was just okay, the way it broke down was really bad, so I don't think I want to buy the full-size product.
