I had no idea this was discontinued - it's such a beloved item that I'm relieved I have another one in stock. I have light skin with a deep undertone (shade 13), and rather than using this color as an all-over base on my eyelids, I prefer to lightly apply it to the under-eye area and the triangular zone. This technique makes my whole face look more defined without appearing washed out. The warm brown shade, free from any redness, naturally deepens the eyes. It applies smoothly without clumping, making it easy for beginners to blend. Finding the perfect contouring shadow for my complexion was challenging, but Toast fills that gap perfectly. It's versatile enough for everyday use and mixes well with other colors without overpowering them. It's such a shame it's discontinued - I can't understand why they'd discontinue such a perfect contouring shade. I plan to use my remaining two sparingly. I had no idea it was discontinued. I'm not sure what I'll do without it in the future. - mn*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2024
This is the only eyeshadow I need! The color is absolutely perfect for warm skin tones! There's some excess powder fallout, but the biggest drawback is that it's quite expensive... - dh********Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesRecommendedJun 11, 2024
This seems perfect for warm skin tones. The shadow is slightly darker than orange and applies with great color payoff. There's no excess powder fallout either. I don't have any major complaints. However, given its high price, I'm using it sparingly. - st******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 18, 2024
It's a subtle orange-yellow with a not-too-intense brown hue! Personally, I often use this to tone down my aegyo-sal (under-eye puff) makeup when I want to emphasize it but in a more subdued way, rather than going for that full puffy aegyo-sal look. I frequently apply it blended with other colors on my aegyo-sal area rather than on my eyelid crease. The price... I'm not sure if it's really worth buying unless it's during a buy-one-get-one-free promotion... - rl*********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityJan 6, 2024
I bought this product because I heard it was great as a base eyeshadow. In the end, I think it would suit warm-toned skin best! Unfortunately, since I have a cool complexion, it appeared quite yellow on me, which was disappointing. Still, it gives a warm, atmospheric feel, and for a base shadow, the color payoff is impressive! The texture is also incredibly smooth. For those with cool-toned skin, it might look a bit off. I'd recommend this to people with warm undertones. - qu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 4, 2023
Bobbi Brown's bestselling eyeshadow 'Toast' - I bought it a few years ago before warm/cool tones were a thing. Somehow it didn't suit me. It's like a terracotta or yellow-orange shade. Highly recommended for warm skin tones! Expensive price. Too yellow. Cool-toned folks will struggle to apply even a small amount. - he*****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 30, 2023
Bobbi Brown's color palette has a calm, muted tone that makes it easy to use as a go-to. You can really see why these eye products are so popular. The colors can appear quite deep when applied, so you need to be careful with the amount. This is probably due to the base tone. Bobbi's products are worth stocking up on during buy-one-get-one-free deals - you won't regret it. - mi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 10, 2023
Bobbi Brown eyeshadows are famous for a reason! They're on the pricier side, but you get a generous amount. I bought this after hearing that many celebrities use it for contouring their eyes. Cool-toned folks, please steer clear of this! You'll be wasting your money, and it's not exactly cheap either. - gm*******Oily SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2023
1. Great color payoff 2. Better staying power than drugstore brands (worth the higher price) 3. Likely to suit warm complexions well 4. Works as a nice base eyeshadow even for darker skin tones without leaving a white cast 1. The price is quite steep for a single eyeshadow (you could get multiple drugstore ones for the same amount) 2. The product size is too large - sa******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 16, 2023
Great for everyday use! The color payoff is excellent. I find myself using it daily since I bought it. It gives a natural and pretty look. While I don't use it this way, my friend even uses it as a contour. I can't think of any downsides... except maybe the price is a bit steep?
