The texture is incredibly lightweight and rolls on smoothly. It seems to be gentle on the skin with minimal irritation. I felt it effectively removed makeup, leaving my skin feeling fresh. I appreciated the very subtle fragrance. As for sebum removal, I'm not so sure. I didn't feel like it was drawing out excess oil while massaging it into my skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 5, 2020
I'm really enjoying using this product because of its excellent cleansing effectiveness. It's truly impressive! Those who are sensitive to scents might find it challenging to use. Also, the price point could be a bit steep for some, which might make it less accessible. - hj********Dry SkinRecommendedOct 13, 2019
After using this product for about a year and a half, here are the positives I've experienced: 1. First off, my whiteheads significantly decreased! My skin is extremely dry, but my T-zone is oily, so I had a lot of whiteheads, seriously... It was to the point where my nose would be smooth right after a dermatologist treatment, but the very next day, those pesky bumps would start creeping back. I've tried every cleansing oil that claimed to be good for whiteheads and blackheads, but they kept coming back, which really stressed me out. I was at MAC buying a lipstick when I got talked into purchasing this, and I could visibly see the reduction. My makeup stopped looking patchy, so despite the price, I kept buying it enthusiastically. It's truly amazing for blackheads and whiteheads! Jojoba oil is usually the go-to, but I'm really curious why this one isn't more well-known... However, apart from this, it had more drawbacks, so I switched to a different cleansing oil. Now I use an LG ultrasonic cleanser, and my whiteheads have disappeared even without this oil. 2. It has great cleansing power. Usually, waterproof mascara, lipstick, etc. leave some residue if you rub without a remover. This one cleans so well that on lazy days, I could just swipe it on and off without a separate remover. But it's probably better to use a remover for the invisible residue, right? Despite using it for a long time, this product had many disappointing aspects. For me, the above advantages outweighed the cons, so I continued using it, but... 1. First off, it's expensive. I was really stressed about whiteheads, and other products didn't help, so I grudgingly used this for a year and a half despite the price, but my hand shook every time I bought it. It's a cleansing oil you use once a day, usually 2-3 pumps... oh boy... it really goes down fast. 2. The ingredients are disappointing. There are 20 caution ingredients in the top 3, and I was surprised to find some that can cause allergic reactions. Well... I've used it fine so far with these ingredients, and I haven't had more blemishes because of this product... but I was disappointed in the formulation. 3. It's drying. The texture is light and not heavy. So after cleansing, my skin feels dry and tight. I hate that tight feeling, so after washing, I didn't dry with a towel but went straight to my room for skincare. This might be because I have extremely dry skin... It could be an advantage for those with oily skin. 1. If you massage cleansing oil for too long, it gets absorbed into your face. I recommend quickly rolling it and then rinsing with water. 2. MAC gives you a free lipstick if you collect empty containers! So don't throw away your empty cleansing oil bottles, keep them and exchange them for lipstick!! Every time you go to a MAC store, bring them, and they'll record how many empty containers you brought in their system. Oh, but it used to be 5 bottles I think? Now you need to bring 7 bottles... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 4, 2019
The cleansing effectiveness is pretty decent, and it does a good job of removing whiteheads. However, I can't say it's exceptionally great, and it's on the pricier side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2019
It's so gentle, you could get it in your eyes without any irritation. It removes even heavy makeup effectively. Thanks to the jojoba oil, with consistent daily use, it even helps control excess sebum. Though, when you stop using it, the oiliness may return. While the price is on the higher side, it's worth grabbing if you have a chance to buy it duty-free! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 10, 2019
There's nothing particularly good to say, but I'm required to write at least 20 characters, so this is a bit awkward. I'm not just disappointed, I'm angry. Someone said it dissolves sebum well, so I bought it, but it doesn't. It removes makeup, but it seems to only dissolve the surface, not the sebum deep in the pores. I have oily skin with large pores, and while using this, sebum kept getting trapped in my skin like grains of sand, leading to serious blemishes. I thought it might be because of summer, but this morning I used a different cleansing oil... Even though I used it in the morning, it immediately stopped the sebum buildup and my blemishes started to clear up. Honestly... If you have large pores and a lot of sebum, I strongly suggest you consider other products. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 5, 2019
First off, I love the minimal size. It's so convenient to carry around and doesn't leak much. The cleansing effectiveness is great too. I used to get stressed when using just cleansing foam because it would irritate my eyes and sometimes struggle to remove glitter. But with this oil on a cotton pad, gently massaging my eyes, everything comes off so easily. I'm really satisfied! Plus, it doesn't cause any blemishes, which makes me truly happy with this product! Some people mention they don't like the scent, but I found it quite alright. The fragrance isn't too strong; it's rather subtle. Even if you're not a fan of the scent, I don't think it would be bothersome. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 11, 2019
I have oily skin. I use this when washing my face before bed, and it feels like it removes all the sebum that's built up throughout the day. I don't think I've ever had any blemishes because of this product. The price is quite high... I haven't tried any other cleansing oils except for Clinique's, so I can't really compare it to others... - gy*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 27, 2019
It's great! I'm on my third bottle and will likely keep using it. Highly recommended. I can't think of any downsides while using this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 4, 2019
I always used to get blemishes when applying waterproof sunscreen, but since I started cleansing with this, it removes it so well that I've stopped breaking out. No matter how much I rubbed, it couldn't completely remove mascara and shimmery products. So I tend to use a lip and eye makeup remover first for my lips and eye makeup, then follow up with this for my second cleanse. Use it together with a lip and eye makeup remover!
