The color payoff is excellent, and it applies smoothly with a matte finish. The staying power is also impressive.
ConsAs time passed, I felt my lips becoming increasingly dry. The sensation of dehydration was quite noticeable. Given how much I had anticipated this product, it ultimately didn't meet my expectations for my personal needs.

The NARS lip line has amazing color payoff, to the point where I almost exclusively reach for NARS for my lip products! This 'Damned' shade might be a bit intense for a full lip look, but when I use it for a gradient effect with NARS 'Bolero', it's absolutely stunning! If you're after that vampy look, I highly recommend this!
ConsPersonally, I didn't find anything particularly disappointing. Well, maybe just the fact that it's a lip pencil, so you need to sharpen it yourself.

ConsThis lipstick was a gift, so I didn't change the shade, but it was too intense and bold to wear on its own. It's a burgundy color with a hint of purple, which was trendy at the time. While the color is undeniably attractive, I feel it wasn't the right match for me.
TipIf you're in a situation like mine where you can't exchange the color, try layering it over a slightly glossy lip tint. This softens the intensity of the MLBB shade, creating a beautiful, wearable color. That's how I ended up wearing this lipstick all winter long.
