However, it was just so-so for me. The color payoff is really good and it's matte, but it applies smoothly and has good staying power.
ConsAs time went on, I felt like my lips were getting drier and drier, so I experienced a lot of dryness. I had high expectations, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped for me.

The NARS lip liner is extremely pigmented, so I pretty much only use NARS for my lip liner needs. This 'Damned' color is a bit too bold for a full-lip look, but when I apply it with the NARS 'Bolero' color in a gradient, it looks absolutely stunning!!! If you're looking for a vampy color, I highly recommend it!
ConsThere really wasn't anything I disliked, personally. Ah, the only thing is that it's a lip pencil, so you have to sharpen it yourself.

ConsWhile the lipstick I received as a gift had an attractive burgundy color with a hint of purple that was trendy at the time, I found it too strong to wear on its own. I think the color just didn't suit me well.
TipIf you're in a similar situation where you can't change the color, I recommend layering a glossy lip tint underneath. This will soften the bold color and create a more wearable, pretty look. That's how I wore the same deep shade all winter.
