1. It's perfect for creating that autumn vibe 2. It's moisturizing and absorbs well 1. While the ingredients aren't ideal, I bought it anyway since most cosmetics don't have great ingredients - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 27, 2020
I love this burgundy lip color because it's not too common. It looks really beautiful when you apply just a little and smudge it out. Plus, it's not drying, which is great! Unfortunately, the color is a bit dark for spring and summer wear. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2020
It's absolutely fascinating how they've managed to create such a unique color. Anyone who's been searching for this shade will be over the moon - 200% satisfied, I'd say! Honestly? I can't find a single flaw. There's literally nothing to criticize. If anything, I'm almost disappointed because now I'll want to splurge on this instead of saving money! It's perfect for everyday wear, but it's also versatile enough to create a bold eye look or a subtle lip tint. The versatility is incredible - it just looks beautiful no matter how you use it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 5, 2019
It's perfect for winter cool tones. The color is just right - not too deep, but with a lovely reddish hue that looks beautiful on the lips. Perhaps because I'm used to tints, I'm noticing some dead skin cells on my lips, even though it's summer. Applying some lip balm helps resolve the issue. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 11, 2019
The Damned... a wine color with a purple tinge. I highly recommend this shade to those who want to wear wine or burgundy colors but worry it might look too intense. The NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil isn't a product with overpowering pigmentation... it's subtle and natural... and the formula adheres softly to the lips... It's a color you can wear without hesitation on days when you want to add a natural accent. I own many deep tones in the wine and burgundy family.. Among them, this product has the most natural and subtle color payoff, so I reach for it most often. This shade looks beautiful whether applied all over the lips or as a gradient starting from the inner lips... And I... I sometimes pair it with Never Say Never that I also own. It looks pretty to apply Never Say Never all over and then add The Damned as an accent on the inner lips... The inconvenience of having to sharpen it. The heartache of watching the color being shaved away during sharpening - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 18, 2019
I thought the color might be too bold, but it's great as an accent lip when applied sparingly to the inner lips and blended well. The dryness is typical for a pencil formula, but not excessive. Make sure to exfoliate well beforehand to prevent the pencil from emphasizing dead skin cells when applied. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 9, 2017
Unique and pretty color. As a cool-toned person, it doesn't suit me as a full lip, but it looks quite nice when applied as a gradient. Compared to Dragon Girl, it has far fewer potentially irritating ingredients. The matte finish is great for summer use, but the color is more suited for fall and winter. However, it's actually too drying to use comfortably in winter. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 28, 2017
As a beauty junkie, I'm always craving unique shades, and this product perfectly satisfies that desire! While I usually don't suit dark colors, this one predictably doesn't flatter me either. However, what I absolutely adore about it is how it adds depth to my makeup or gives me a mood boost. Just a light swipe on the inner lips creates a stunning effect. I even applied it to my friend's inner lips, and she immediately raved about how amazing it was! What makes this product truly great for me is its pencil format, as I'd never use such a bold color all over my lips. Some days, I just apply lip balm and gradient this on - it looks incredibly beautiful! Given its unconventional shade, I'll admit it doesn't get much use. I've had it for about two years and haven't sharpened it once... At this rate, it's not exactly cost-effective. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 15, 2017
It's a must-have essential that I feel compelled to repurchase as soon as I run out. The application is wonderfully smooth, but honestly, the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. Despite this, the color is so captivating that I simply can't give it up. I adore plum burgundy lip colors, and no matter what else I try, I always find myself coming back to this Damned. Even though it applies smoothly, its matte nature tends to accentuate lip dead skin cells. Initially, you might think, 'Wow, for a matte lip product, this feels quite comfortable.' However, as time passes, your lips become increasingly dry, leaving a parched sensation. The frustrating part is that applying lip balm or other products on top ruins the unique Damned effect, so you can't really layer anything. The only solution is to thoroughly hydrate and exfoliate your lips before application. I believe this product shows significant variation in color payoff from person to person. It's crucial to test it on yourself before purchasing. No matter how many online swatches you look at, it's hard to predict how it will appear on your own lips. Even in my photos, while the color looks almost identical to real life on my computer screen, it appears much pinker when viewed on my phone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 10, 2017
I have sensitive lips and prefer moisturizing formulas, but this was quite drying I wouldn't recommend this to those who prefer hydrating formulas due to dry lips
