It's a bit disappointing that the color is a bit dark for spring and summer.

The burgundy lip color is great because it's not common.
 You don't need to apply a lot, just a little bit and blend it out - it looks really pretty that way.

The Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil has a strong color payoff, but this one applies softly and naturally, blending smoothly onto the lips.
It's a great color to use when you want to add a subtle, natural-looking touch of color without feeling too made up.
I have a lot of deep, wine-toned shades, and this is one of my most-reached-for as it applies so effortlessly and gives such a lovely, understated look.
You can wear this all over the lips, but it also looks beautiful when applied with a gradient effect, starting deeper at the edges and fading towards the center.
I also like to pair this with my Never Say Never lip color, using that all over and then adding a touch of this in the center for a pretty ombré effect.

You should exfoliate well in advance so that the pencil doesn't accentuate any flaky skin when applied.

I thought the color was too bold, but by applying it sparingly on the inner part of the lips and blending it well, it works great as a statement lip. The dryness is about the usual level for a pencil, and it's not too severe.

The reason this is good for me is that I would never wear such a color fully on my lips, so the fact that it's in a pencil form and I can just use it on the inner part is really great!
And on some days, I just wear lip balm and then use this for a gradient effect, and it looks so pretty that way too.

I think this product has an unusually high degree of individual color variation. You really have to try it on yourself to see how it looks. No matter how much I search online swatches, it's hard to predict how the color will look on my own lips. The photos I uploaded may look quite similar to the actual color on the computer, but on the phone, the pink undertone looks way too strong.

Even though it applies smoothly, being a matte lipstick by nature, it accentuates lip flakiness. At first, I thought a matte lipstick this comfortable to wear could be usable, but over time, my lips become dry and feel parched. And if I try to layer a lip balm or something else on top, the signature damp look disappears, so I can't even apply anything extra. The only way is to thoroughly hydrate and exfoliate my lips before applying the lipstick.

It's a must-have, a basic item that gives me peace of mind to refill when it's used up. The application is so smooth and nice, but to be honest, the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. Yet, I can't give it up because the color is so appealing. I really love the plum burgundy lip shades, but no matter what I apply, I always end up going back to the damp look.

If your lips are dry, I would not recommend this product to those who prefer a moisturizing formula.

My lips are sensitive, so I prefer a moisturizing formula, but it ended up being quite dry.

It doesn't really suit me.. And the longevity is not as good as I expected, and it accentuates the wrinkles on my lips ㅠㅠ

The color is really unique and I love it!! When you actually apply it, it's not as bold as it looks either!! It gives a sort of sophisticated vibe when you wear it.
