If you love long-lasting coverage and a matte finish without stickiness, this is a must-try! Even when it fades, it does so gracefully. Highly recommended for oily and combination skin types! It might be a bit drying for those with dry skin though. The scent and how it applies... But the other advantages more than make up for these two minor drawbacks. It's amazing when mixed with a bit of Guerlain Lingerie de Peau - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 20, 2019
I bought shade 12 after finding shade 10 too dark. The color is closer to a light pink+ivory blend. After using Estée Lauder, I found this applies so much better... It glides on smoothly! Emphasizes dead skin cells Looks messy when it breaks down Applies smoothly but feels very drying... Apply with a brush or your fingers... - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 14, 2019
I highly recommend this for those who love a matte skin finish. The color is beautiful, and it sets to a velvety finish, providing great longevity and coverage. Those with dry skin might experience deep dryness. For those who apply foundation all over the face before blending, you'll notice it dries quickly. I suggest blending immediately after application. It was truly so drying that unless I mixed it with something else, it was uncomfortable to wear, even with its good staying power. On days when I use this, I layer hydrating skincare products underneath and mix it with another foundation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 6, 2018
It's so hydrating that my face doesn't feel tight. The moisturizing effect also helps my makeup apply smoothly. The longevity is a bit disappointing... While it doesn't break down messily, there is some darkening over time. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 22, 2018
I've used up one bottle each of shades 10 and 12! Shade 12 is brighter with a pink base, but it's not overwhelming, making it perfect for a radiant look. It gives my skin a porcelain-like finish, which I absolutely adore! The adherence is the best I've experienced among all the foundations I've tried. The initial flawless look lasts about 5 hours, and for the next 3 hours, it still looks decent. It doesn't break down, but there's a slight yellow tinge or darkening that requires some touch-ups. The yellow-toned darkening is the only downside. Apart from that, it's truly a perfect base for me. However, due to the weak color longevity, I apply The Face Inc Lasting for extended outings. Applying a thin layer with a brush and then pressing it in with a sponge twice gives excellent coverage, longevity, and a beautiful glow. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2018
The pink base and color were pretty on me and not too dark. Overall, it was decent. I just realized the ingredients aren't great... That's why I'm reconsidering repurchasing and probably won't. - mi*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 26, 2018
I fell in love with Dior's cushion and bought this foundation. My U-zone is extremely dry while my T-zone is slightly oily. Finding the right base product is like searching for a needle in a haystack, but this is truly a holy grail... I heard Ar** foundation was good too, but it was too thin and light for me. Dior is the perfect pick for that porcelain skin look with its ideal particle size and dense coverage. Dior foundations generally excel in summer use, and Forever particularly nails both hydration and coverage. While it might feel a bit dry in harsh winter winds, it's great for summer and transitional seasons. The price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price, the price... Why do all the good things have to be so expensive? This foundation has a slightly thick texture. When your skin lacks hydration, first apply it all over, then mix it with a highly moisturizing essence for a second layer on dry areas. This helps maintain the T-zone's oil control while significantly reducing dryness in the U-zone! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 2, 2018
It brightened my complexion and had great coverage...! The staying power seemed pretty good too. Sometimes, perhaps due to some active ingredients, I felt a slight burning sensation when applying it around my eyes. Also, since I have dry skin, it felt a bit tight during winter. After some time, I noticed a bit of darkening. - si*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinSep 22, 2017
The only positive aspect was its longevity. The color starts off bright and pretty, but becomes dull over time. Why is it so dry and doesn't adhere well? When applied to the face, it dries so quickly that it's nearly impossible to blend properly. Everyone raved about this as their holy grail, so I bought it due to its fame, but it was a complete disaster. It's extremely drying and doesn't sit well on the skin. When I used Chanel Le Blanc, it adhered well and gave a radiant, beautiful color. This one, however, becomes increasingly dull over time, is very drying, and accentuates wrinkles, dead skin cells, and uneven texture. Honestly, domestic cushion foundations are far superior. I've tried every method imaginable. I've used a Real Techniques puff, applied it with a foundation brush spritzed with mist, tried using a hydrating makeup base, and even mixed it with MAC Strobe Cream or moisturizer. But the results were always disastrous. It always separates. It's so drying... When I use this foundation alone, it makes me look significantly older. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2017
The color is pretty... That's about all I can say. I bought it because of all the hype, but it's really not that great and I don't reach for it much. Skip this and go for the cushion instead - it has a prettier color and is much better overall. First off, it's way overpriced for what you get. You're better off looking for something else. There are so many issues, but let me break it down: 1) It really emphasizes skin texture It accentuates every little bump and imperfection. I've tried applying it with a brush, fingers, and sponge - nothing gives a smooth finish. It looks okay on perfectly smooth areas like the forehead, but don't expect porcelain skin. Even on my forehead where my skin is great, this foundation makes it look dry and rough. Around the nose and mouth where there are more pores, it looks downright messy. 2) It causes tiny bumps I just checked the ingredients, and sure enough, there are a lot of problematic ones. The Dior Skin Forever cushion doesn't cause any issues, but this foundation somehow makes little bumps appear. 3) Severe oxidation For such an expensive, high-end brand, the oxidation is terrible. After wearing it for a while, I look in the mirror and my complexion looks so dull. It gives that 'I haven't slept in days' look. 4) Messy breakdown Everyone said it breaks down beautifully, which is why I bought it, but I don't find it pretty at all. It's slightly better than older Hera cushions, but considering the price difference, the way it breaks down is just unacceptable. It keeps making me think I should just stop using it. It's especially bad around the nose, where it cakes up and breaks apart. I end up having to wipe it all off with a tissue and reapply my makeup. This product just really didn't work for me at all. Goodbye... You're better off buying the cushion from the same line. The cushion is actually quite good! The Dior Skin Forever cushion is excellent. Just make sure you have a solid skincare routine, otherwise it can look messy later on. If you skimp on skincare, it will definitely end up looking untidy, so keep that in mind.
