No need for a separate body emulsion after scrubbing. Likely great for dry skin. (For reference, I have oily skin) 1. Feels like a mix of oil and sea salt. 2. The oil can't be completely washed off with water. Those with oily skin should be cautious. I won't repurchase. (I bought this without knowing better because a Body Shop employee recommended it wrongly. So I can't use it on my chest or back... I only use it for exfoliating exposed areas like arms and legs) 3. The scent is strong, so make sure to smell it before buying. I use it as an exfoliator on my arms and calves (scoop with fingers and keep rubbing until the sea salt dissolves, whether on arms or calves). Washing hands with soap after use reduces the slippery feeling. Still, it doesn't wash off completely as it's oil-based. However, it does leave your hands moisturized. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 13, 2017
This is my first time trying a scrub, and so far I'm really pleased! I love the scent, and my skin feels incredibly soft after use. I'll have to think about repurchasing due to the ingredients though. Looking at the ingredients list, it doesn't seem to be the gentlest product out there. Since I have dry skin, I tend to dilute it with a bit of water when I use it. It makes the scrub less harsh on my skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 19, 2016
Although it's a scrub with coarse granules, it contains oil ingredients, so it doesn't leave my skin dry at all after use. It's so moisturizing that I don't even need to use a body emulsion or cream afterward. I have extremely dry skin and prefer scrubs that are quite invigorating and refreshing, and this one is just perfect for me... While the product itself is good, the scent feels too strong after use... I think those who are sensitive to fragrances might want to avoid this one. - ti**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinOct 28, 2016
It makes your skin incredibly soft. It's moisturizing and gives you that feeling like all your dead skin cells have been gently removed. When you use it, it doesn't hurt your skin at all, but it's as if the salt is melting away, leaving your skin feeling super smooth. The scent is lovely, and I appreciate the generous size of the product. There's nothing really bad to say, but if I absolutely had to mention something... I guess the container is a bit on the large side... It's heavy... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 16, 2016
If you have dry skin, the oil ingredients in this product will help alleviate some of that dryness The scrubbing action doesn't seem particularly effective. I bought it because it contains Dead Sea salt, but while the particles are larger than expected, they're not harsh. In summer, the oil content makes it feel less refreshing and leaves skin feeling rich rather than clean. The ingredients aren't as gentle as I'd hoped. If you can't feel the cooling effect from the salt granules alone, try using it with an exfoliating glove like the ones sold at The Body Shop
