Overall, Medicube products are generally gentle, making them great for sensitive skin! They're also suitable for acne-prone skin!! If you're worried about your skin reacting badly to other brands, I'd recommend trying Medicube products! While it didn't have a dramatic effect on calming blemishes, it did show moderate effectiveness! - ji*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJan 26, 2024
The case is simple and made of plastic. It's recommended for teenage acne-prone skin and adult acne-prone skin. The Red Line Serum is also formulated with ingredients suitable for blemish-prone skin. Interestingly, the back label indicates it's not just for blemishes, but also for brightening and anti-aging (though I personally can't vouch for those effects). The texture is typical of a serum - watery with a slight viscosity. It's designed to balance oil and moisture. The color has a slight blue tint. I thought it might be artificial coloring, but surprisingly, it's not. The emerald hue comes from the extract of Indian lilac, which helps soothe skin and provide hydration. It absorbs well, spreading smoothly without feeling greasy. It moisturizes without leaving a shiny residue. The scent is strongly reminiscent of tea tree, which is common in acne products. It's quite potent (might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation). Interestingly, this isn't artificial fragrance either, but comes naturally from the key tea tree ingredients. The tea tree scent is overpowering. When applied, there's a slight skin irritation. - 37***Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 17, 2023
The formula is clear and lightweight, making it perfect for daily use! There's not really anything to complain about... The scent is just okay, but it's not particularly bothersome. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 5, 2023
The absorption is nice, and the scent is pleasantly mild. When applied to areas prone to blemishes, it prevents them from spreading further. Even on existing blemishes, applying it before bed helps calm them down. While it doesn't provide dramatic results, I'm satisfied and continue to use it. The price is on the higher side though. - rt****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDec 14, 2022
There was definitely a noticeable difference between using it and not using it - my skin felt much more hydrated when I did apply it. Of course, that's not saying much for my combination dehydrated skin, which was still quite parched. I bought this hoping it would help with blemishes, but I didn't see any improvement in that area. To be honest, the ingredients list isn't great. Usually, I don't mind less-than-ideal ingredients if the product feels good and works well for my skin. However, this one misses the mark on all fronts - poor user experience, worsening skin condition, no visible improvements, an exorbitant price tag, and subpar ingredients to boot. That's why I personally have a negative impression of Medicube's acne care line. While it does contain two ingredients that are supposed to help with blemishes, they're so far down the list that they might as well not be there at all. It's safe to say they won't have any real effect. Tea tree oil, known for its anti-inflammatory properties that can benefit acne-prone skin, is buried at the bottom of the ingredient list. Salicylic acid (BHA), an exfoliating ingredient, is slightly higher up, but still not near the top where it would actually make a difference. Essentially, these potentially beneficial ingredients are present in name only. - qa*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedNov 19, 2022
I loved that it wasn't sticky after application and worked well for my acne-prone skin! If you have any wounds or sensitive areas on your face, it might sting a bit at first, but as you use it daily, your skin improves and it becomes more comfortable. Well, personally, it suited my sensitive skin so well that I don't have any complaints. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2022
I love the texture of this product. It's not sticky, but has a nice, firm feel. Plus, it doesn't seem to irritate my skin at all. The amount you get is quite small. It doesn't seem to absorb well into the skin. And the price is on the high side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 6, 2022
It's great for a light application and doesn't pill. It does provide good hydration. It doesn't have the advertised effects of reducing redness or improving blemishes. - qk**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 5, 2022
I loved the pleasant scent while using it. It felt like I was applying something healthy to my skin. It left my skin feeling nicely hydrated. There's a bit of irritation. Occasionally, it doesn't dispense well, so when I press harder, it shoots out suddenly, and I end up wasting some on the floor. I'm not sure if it's actually helping with my blemishes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 17, 2022
The only positive thing I can say is that it's moisturizing. That's about it, nothing more. When I first applied it, my skin felt incredibly tingly and irritated. It seemed like it contained a lot of acidic ingredients. Not only did it fail to clear my blemishes, but I actually broke out even more. I ended up throwing it away after just a few uses.
