It absorbs well without any stickiness. Thanks to this, I was able to try matte lipsticks, which I love. Usually, when I apply it after cleansing before bed, by the next morning, my dead skin cells have sloughed off, making it perfect for applying lip products. It's quite pricey. While it feels amazing right after application, if you skip using it, your lips quickly revert to being extremely dry. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedFeb 29, 2020
As someone with extremely dry skin and a wealth of dead skin cells, I've tried nearly every lip product out there. This is my first time using Fresh Lip Serum, and it feels so hydrating when applied! However, the moisturizing effect doesn't last very long, and the price is quite steep for the amount you get. I was shocked by how small the product was when I first received it! For best results, exfoliate your lips first, then apply the serum. Once it's fully absorbed, layer on another lip product to maintain even more hydrated lips. - jj******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 9, 2020
This product is more effective for treating dry, stained lip lines rather than overall lip care! It's meant to be applied before the treatment from the same brand. For someone like me with extremely dry skin that cracks and flakes around the mouth in winter, this was an absolute game-changer!! It seems to improve the dry, cracked, and stained skin around my mouth that couldn't be treated with moisturizers or Vaseline lip balms. I'm using it with confidence, especially since it's said to help create beautiful lip lines. The price is undoubtedly the biggest obstacle to repurchasing this product. At 10ml for around $45-50, it's an insane price that made me hesitate before buying, but I have no regrets. If I get a duty-free opportunity, I'm 100% repurchasing! I applied it as part of my nighttime lip care routine rather than in the morning. Since I felt it didn't pair well with makeup, I pump it out and apply it around my mouth and even to my nasolabial folds when I want to give my face a deep treatment before bed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2019
I don't understand why the ratings are so low, but I tried it out at the department store and liked it, and when I used it again at home, the flaky skin immediately calmed down. It was a type of flaky skin that no other lip balm could fix, but this one really makes my lips feel moisturized from the inside. And since it's a vacuum pump type, it seems good to use until the end. The Aesop lip cream has a similar character and texture, but the Fresh lip serum is much better than Aesop. The price is a bit... expensive, but I think it's worth the value. I recommend applying it once after cleansing in the basic skincare step, and applying it again before putting on colored lip products. - le******Normal SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresJan 24, 2018
This is truly a 'serum'. It is not a lip balm. For those expecting a lip balm, it may provide a moist dryness (applies like cool, hydrating water but absorbs quickly and flies away, leaving dryness afterward). It gives the effect of applying saliva or water before using lip balm, when your lips are turning white and about to crack. In short, it provides hydration and soothing. It seems to be conceptualized to help lip products (lip balms, lipsticks, etc.) absorb better. That functionality seems to work well. Personally, I'm satisfied with that aspect. First of all, it's expensive. Worse, since this product has the functionality of a serum, it naturally requires the next step of a moisturizing product... so you have to buy something else. Another stupid purchase. If you plan to use only this, I strongly oppose it. Your lips may actually get drier. It's like spraying water on your skin and just leaving it there - it can make it drier. And I didn't know this when I bought it, but the ingredients are really poor. I won't be repurchasing this, haha. Instead of stubbornly going without lip balm or anything, just use a lipstick, lip butter, or lip gloss to properly manage your lips and avoid the need for the soothing and exfoliating steps. You can think of your lips like your face and use this as a serum step. After applying and letting it absorb, it's best to follow up with a proper oil-based lip moisturizer. - 20******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 11, 2017
My lips were not just slightly dry, but the entire area around my lips turned bright red. I tried everything from Vaseline cream, honey, to lip balm, but nothing worked, so I finally found this. Even though it's expensive, this is the only thing that works for me. When you apply this serum first, it absorbs quickly and instantly provides moisture. Then using a lip balm on top creates a moisturizing barrier. This gradually improves the condition. But I think I also need to drink more water to address the root cause of the dryness. Anyway, this lip serum is a lifesaver! The price, the price, the price - that's the problem. Buying it at the department store, my hands were shaking. There aren't many samples either. If you could let me know which locations have more samples, I'd rush over there right away! I'd love to use the duty-free discount, but that may vary depending on the situation. And I was really surprised when I looked at the ingredients - what is this? But seeing the good effects, it's quite amazing. I like to apply this generously before bed. These days, with all the mask-wearing, it's great as a treatment. By the way, I tried the Nuxe lip balm, which has good ingredients, but it totally backfired on me. But this one with the supposedly 'bad' ingredients works amazingly well for me. I guess it's more important whether the product suits me, rather than just focusing on the ingredients being good or bad. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 5, 2017
Wow, this is a total life-saver for me, but the rating seems lower than expected... Before I found this product, I couldn't even think about using a matte lip product because my lips were so chapped! But after discovering this, I can now wear matte lipsticks with ease. It really smooths out my lips so well, and I absolutely hate the feeling of dry, rough lips. I hate those tube-type lip products and thick, buttery formulas too! I once bought the Skinfood Avocado Lip, which was raved about, but it ended up in my closet. I've tried a lot of other 'good' products, but this is the only one I've been using consistently for over 2 years now (it may even be past its expiration date...). I'm almost out, so I'll have to repurchase it soon! I didn't know the ingredients, but after checking, there are quite a few questionable ones. But I'll still repurchase it! When doing my morning makeup routine, I just pump a tiny amount onto my thumb and dab it onto my lips. It just melts right in. And when I apply a matte lipstick over it, it goes on so smoothly. I only use the tiniest bit, about the size of a bean, and it lasts me a really long time. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 31, 2017
The formula glides on smoothly.. The packaging is hygienic, which I really like! Hmm.. I don't know if it's just me, but it gets a bit dry and flaky when it dries down. Also, it takes a little while to absorb. The slow absorption means I can't really wear the lip color in the morning, which is a bit of a downside, but it works fine when I apply it at night. - ho********Combination SkinJan 6, 2017
I received a sample and tried it out. Before pregnancy, I thought it was good, so I didn't use it often, but when my lips were dry or had a lot of dead skin, I would apply it and sleep, and the dead skin seemed to disappear a lot, making my lips feel softer. However, during my 28th week of pregnancy, my lips became dry and cracked, so I applied it and slept. But then my lips and the area around them became extremely itchy, and it even got worse, with small blisters forming. I thought it had improved a bit, so I applied it and slept again, but my skin became itchy again like an allergic reaction, and the area around my mouth turned red. I immediately threw the product away. Pregnant women should always check the ingredients of cosmetics before using them...! I ended up regretting it later. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 15, 2016
I applied this and when I woke up in the morning, the dead skin was softened and had risen to the surface. Wow, it's really great! I loved lipstick, but I didn't really take care of my lips. But after using this product, I really want to take better care of my lips! The price is too expensive. In the long run, it's an essential item, but it's outrageous...
