It's a deep red shade! It has a cooler tone than I expected. As it's a velvet lipstick, it feels a bit dry. Also, it doesn't leave any stain! - pa***Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2022
A color reminiscent of dried roses! The shade varies depending on how much you apply, but it's a beautiful color no matter how you wear it! It's slightly on the matte side! It's best to moisturize well before applying. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 20, 2021
For a dewy, glossy look, I apply the Wake Make Water Tint as a base, then layer this shade on the inner lips. It minimizes dead skin cells and creates a natural gradient effect that's easy to apply. The color is a chili-tinted pink with a reddish undertone. Being a matte formula, it doesn't apply evenly when your lips aren't in great condition. I wouldn't recommend it on days when you have a lot of dead skin cells. Also, the more heavily you apply this color, the easier it is to end up with an outdated look. - 45********Oily SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2021
The color is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for cool skin tones! The application and staying power are both fantastic. I was worried it might look dull, but it actually makes my face look incredibly radiant. My lips are usually very dry, and with the wrong lipstick, they can get flaky and emphasize dead skin cells. However, this lipstick doesn't accentuate any dryness and feels so creamy. The luxurious packaging is just the cherry on top. It's truly my holy grail lipstick! I honestly can't think of any downsides yet. If I had to nitpick, I guess I wish there was a bit more product... but that's just a minor thing! - za******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 9, 2020
The texture feels soft and pleasant. It's lightweight and adheres nicely when applied to the lips. I like that even when it fades, it doesn't leave unsightly patches. As a yellow-cool tone, it's deeper than I expected, which makes it look a bit dull... Apart from feeling like I might have chosen the wrong shade, it's not bad. - ge************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 27, 2020
A matte, dark red lipstick. The deep shade requires careful outfit coordination to complement it well. The downside is that it's a Chanel lipstick, so it's a bit pricey, but the luxurious case makes up for it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 20, 2020
This shade is my absolute favorite among the Chanel Rouge Allure collection. It's stunningly beautiful! The price is disappointingly high, and it seems to wear off too quickly. - pt**Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2020
Chanel never disappoints! The color is absolutely stunning. Shade 22 with deep undertone is my perfect lip match. Great staying power, beautiful color - this lipstick does it all! I've tried several Chanel lipsticks, but this one is my favorite so far. The photo looks a bit reddish due to lighting, but it's actually darker in person. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the ingredients... But with color cosmetics, it's hard to avoid. As long as it's not terrible, I'll use what I like. Since it's winter, applying a clear lip balm before use can help with dryness. - sj******Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesRednessRecommendedJul 16, 2019
The color is on the darker side, calm yet sophisticated. As a warm autumn type, I thought it would suit me well, but there's a subtle dullness to it. I'd recommend this to those who look good in low-saturation shades! For a similar color, I find Estée Lauder's 'Burning Love' suits me better. (For reference, I also found Espoir's Modest a bit dull on me!) Anyway, it's classy and beautiful, so having one of these shades in your collection seems like a good idea. The dryness is expected with matte lipsticks, but it does seem to transfer a bit easily. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 10, 2018
The best thing about this product is its truly beautiful color. While it looks deep at first glance, when applied to the lips, it creates a pretty and natural-looking tint that blends seamlessly with your own lip color. Despite being a matte lipstick, it glides on smoothly and feels comfortable. The staying power is slightly disappointing, but since we often touch up our lip color anyway, I can overlook that for such a gorgeous shade. While I'm not an expert on personal color analysis, I think this would suit autumn muted tones beautifully. The price is $41. The main drawbacks are the somewhat high price point, the less-than-ideal staying power, and the fact that it tends to dry out the lips a bit faster compared to other matte lipsticks. For a softer look, try gently patting the color onto your lips instead of swiping. It creates a beautiful, subtle effect. You can even slightly overline your lips with this product, and it still looks natural and pretty without appearing too obvious.
