This brightening moisturizer was one of the pioneers when it first came out. It was truly revolutionary. Even though it's not a sunscreen, when applied moderately, it evens skin tone while looking natural and absorbs well. The sales staff must not have been properly trained. They said it was fine to sleep with it on. Seriously? That's basically the same as sleeping with makeup on. This isn't a skincare product, so it absolutely needs to be cleansed off! I use it in various ways - mixed with sunscreen, when quickly greeting guests at home, or blended with foundation when I don't want to look too dull. It's versatile enough to use here and there. When used alone, I felt a slight tightness in my skin afterwards. - ji***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 31, 2020
As someone with fair skin, I was skeptical about tone-up creams, but this one exceeded my expectations! I'm extremely satisfied with how well it works. Texture: Creamy Application: Glides on smoothly without any irritation Scent: Earthy clay-like aroma Tone-up effect: Natural, subtle brightening White cast: None Finish: Slightly powdery (tested by gently pressing tissue paper - only one small piece stuck) I can't think of any downsides at the moment! I'll update if I notice anything as I continue using it. - ze********Normal SkinRecommendedAug 13, 2019
After trying Bontree's skin emulsion products, I was so impressed that I got a sample of their brightening moisturizer. I ended up buying it, and I'm loving it! The goat milk makes it so smooth, and it absorbs beautifully. In the sweaty summer heat, it just runs off like water, dripping away and wiping off completely. It seems to have a high oil content, which can make your face feel a bit suffocated. I wouldn't recommend it for summer use. - da*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 7, 2019
It brightens and moisturizes, making your skin naturally beautiful. It's likely to be great for those with dry skin! The brightening effect doesn't last very long. On days when your skin texture or condition isn't at its best, it doesn't seem to adhere well and doesn't spread evenly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2019
- Absorbs well As a student, I applied this at school after each class period. It looked very natural, and even when I reapplied, it didn't pill and went on beautifully. - Evens skin tone It looked natural and nice. My friends even asked what I was using. - Scent The fragrance was so pleasant that it made me want to repurchase. It has a milk-like scent which is really lovely. - Blemishes Even though I'm at an age where blemishes are inevitable, I never felt like this product caused any. No physical stores I bought this at a department store before, and when I went back to repurchase after using it all up, I found out they no longer carry it in-store. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinMay 2, 2019
It definitely seems to brighten my complexion. I haven't used it much yet, but I'll keep using it consistently to see the results. I'm not sure if I'm applying it incorrectly, but it feels like it's sitting on top of my skin. You need to be careful with the application technique. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 25, 2019
It glides on smoothly and instantly brightens the skin like milk. The product itself feels wonderfully hydrating. At first, it brightens the skin like milk, but within an hour, my complexion darkened. It was quite shocking. My skin tone ended up looking the same as before application. When applying brightening moisturizer, remember to extend it to your neck for a more natural look. A great thing about brightening moisturizers is that they don't transfer onto clothes! Tip: You can substitute brightening moisturizer with a sunscreen that has a slight white cast. - pk*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 18, 2019
Natural look: This truly gives a natural brightening effect! Among all the brightening moisturizers I've used, this one absorbs and evens out my skin tone the most like my own skin. Smooth application: While it's not a watery formula, it's not heavy like whipped cream either. It's a rich texture that applies incredibly smoothly! No blemishes: Usually, I break out due to excess oil, but this didn't cause any blemishes! Longevity: The brightest effect only lasts about 2 hours. After that, it doesn't revert to how dark my skin was before application, but it does get slightly darker. Price & Availability: The price is a bit on the higher side. Best to wait for sales! It's so hard to find in stores. Is it primarily an online brand? I've never seen it in-store since I bought it once offline. - le*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 14, 2019
This is the second brightening moisturizer I've tried from a sample, and its emulsion formula applies smoothly without much pilling. It seems gentle enough for sensitive skin, and the staying power is quite impressive. I can't really think of any downsides while using it... - os*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 26, 2018
1. Texture The texture is great! It has just the right amount of hydration, making it easy to apply. 2. Brightening effect It really makes your skin look fair. Your complexion becomes at least one shade lighter than your natural skin tone. 3. Longevity While it's not particularly water-resistant, it definitely lasts for a solid 4 hours without any issues. I can't really think of any downsides. It would be nice if it came in a pump bottle though! Apply this as the final step in your skincare routine. Using it together with sunscreen works hard to give you amazing results!
